Overview
This grand 18th-century property is next to Kokkedal Golf Club and 30 km from Copenhagen. Services on site include a vaulted cellar restaurant, a spa centre with an indoor pool and spa treatments. There is also free WiFi. Luxury Italian toiletries and TVs with over 30 channels are standard at Kokkedal Castle. Rooms are set in the main castle building or the annex, which was once the gatekeeper’s lodge. Each room is individually decorated with nature-patterned fabrics, and has views of either the gardens or the tree-lined castle avenue. From the end of June until mid-August, the property organises a variety of free activities for guests who with to enjoy an active holiday. The Øresund Strait shore is 400 metres from Kokkedal Castle. Kokkedal Station is within 10 minutes' walk, while Rungsted Harbour is 2 km away. Hotel staff can help book museum tickets, walking tours or local restaurants.

Great food in the restaurant with a very skilled sommelier to suggest wine pairings. Very beautiful castle and surroundings, cosy bar and restaurant - and great service from alle staff members.

“Not really 5 star”
Not sure how this hotel can get a 5 star rating, hardly any staff and the room is tiny and not well maintained. Only thing 5 star were the towels.

“Relaxing holiday spot by the seaside”
Beautiful building close to the sea and a lovely golf course. It’s a very quiet and relaxing environment. The staff were kind and always helpful. Our room was a bit small but still comfortable. The food at the hotel and at the golf course both were fantastic.

“Great charming castle hotel!”
A great place. The room is in a side building, nicely decorated in a traditional way but to a modern standard. The restaurant is located in a large hall in the main castle, very very nice and great food too. Friendly and knowledgable staff.

The hotel is located very isolated. You have difficulty here without a car unless you prefer long walks. The hotel apparently had a data breach before my travel, and an impostor tried contact me. Hotel tried blame Booking for the breach, but I fail to find it amusing that I am being lied to. Plus - according to applicable data security the hotel should notify me in case my phone number and possibly email etc leaks to malvolent third parties, or any third parties. NNow it was me, plus apparently all the other guests, who informed the hotel. Not good! Guys over there need to practice this more. Breakfast - yeah - nice china cups but not the content I value as work traveller. No value for the bucks.
