“Gorgeous location, great stay”

The location is amazing - great views down the valley and lots of walking trails starting as soon as you come out of the door. Room was huge and comfortable. It is above the town but going down the footpath takes less than 10 minutes. We ate one evening in the restaurant and it was very good.

They were absolutely dog friendly and there is a lot to do and explore for children as well. Big playgrounds and an old castle tower to discover.

Stunning location just steps away from extensive hiking trails through the beautiful Black Forest. Large, well-appointed room with views of the castle ruins and village. Kind and caring hosts and staff. The breakfast has a wonderful array of sweet and savory offerings featuring delicious baked goods, cheeses, eggs, yogurt, local honey, and more.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. The rooms are very cozy and clean. The stay was very comfortable. The staff are also super friendly.

Breakfast and the View were spectacular.

It would have been lovely if there was a kettle in the room and tea/coffee facilities. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever, it was a lovely stay

Nicely located on the top of a hill, next to the ruins of a castle (Schloss) offering a nice view over Hornberg, pittoresque village (one of the kind in the Black Forest area) close to many beautiful hikes in the area! You should visit the waterfalls around, like Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, Trimberg, the sources of Danube are also close! The restaurant offers somme nice dishes as well The breakfast is rich and diversified Parking is free in front of the hotel(if you can find any ;-))

The staff is the gem of this hotel. Absolutely brilliant! The food in the restaurant was very good and restrictions were catered for in a very attentive manner! Fantastic views from the valleyside rooms, which were spotlessly clean.

Overall it was a really good experience!

An incredible location, perched on a mountain spur overlooking a charming little Black Forest valley town, by the ruins of an ancient castle. Glorious views from the rooms and the dining room. Exceptional service at check in and at meals. Excellent food. Rooms comfortable and peaceful. Lovely woodland hikes available straight from the door. The hotel will collect you from the train station if you phone them.

An interesting location, up in the hill in Hornberg. Good location for nice walks in this area. Nice places to sit inside and outside. Good breakfast, plenty of choices.
