“Excellent overnight stay at Hotel Gastof Rose, Hornberg.”
A small hotel in the heart of Hornberg, within the Black Forest. Owned by the family since 1907. The current owner, granddaughter of the original owner, was so nice and friendly and made us feel so very welcome. We had an evening meal in the hotel, which was quality. I had Veal Schnitzel, which was so nice and tender. My wife had steak and said it was one of finest steaks she has had. All the food was homemade, assisted by Madam's son. The next morning, our breakfast was a continental style with plenty of choice and very filling, which nicely set us up for the day. I had mentioned when booking, if there was any facility to have somewhere to store two motorcycles and the very kind lady remembered and allowed the bikes to be locked in a double garage next to the hotel. The town of Hornberg is immaculately clean and quiet and has some rather nice cafes. I can also speak on behalf of our friends, who had nothing but praise for this establishment. So on behalf of both couples, thank you again for your kind hospitality, Madam.

The breakfast was so tasty, there was plenty of food and coffee. The quality was superb! It was a quiet place so we could rest and sleep without disturbance. The hosts were very nice, helpful and welcoming.

“Charming traditional jotel”
We are 2 long distance cyclists riding from the UK to Italy and the Gasthof Rose was exactly on our route in the centre of the delightful town of Hornberg just around the corner from the marketplace. It is a very comfortable traditional hotel run by a very charming lady. Good restaurant and an excellent breakfast. Very quiet. Very good secure bike storage in the hotel's garage. Very comfortable.
