“PROFOUND DISSAPOINTMENT”

We had specifically booked a room with a private bathroom so, upon arrival, we were quite surprised and inconvenienced to be informed that our original room had been changed supposedly to be a better one. It was definitely not the case. Instead, we found ourselves in a room located within the same house as the owners. Contrary to our booking, we were required to share a bathroom, which was inconvenient and not the level of privacy we expected. We were not allowed to use the WiFi, which left us without any internet access during our stay. Adding to these issues, there was NO ELECTRICITY available in our room, forcing us to find alternative locations outside of our designated space to charge our phones. Are we in 1910? Even simple comforts were lacking, as the curtains in the room did not close properly, allowing light to enter and significantly impacting our ability to sleep well. Considering all of these discrepancies between what was advertised and the actual conditions of the room, we feel that the details provided when booking were significantly misleading. Due to this negative experience, we cannot recommend this accommodation to others who may be expecting the amenities and privacy that were initially described.
