Overview
For over 100 years, Arctic Hotel Nordkapp, by the old name HAVLY, has been a safe haven for visitors and fishermen to Honningsvåg. This hotel roots and traditions dating back to the old sailors' home founded in 1928. In 1944 hotel was ruined by the II w.w. and rebuild in 1952. Arctic hotel Nordkapp (Havly) is a different and exciting hotel, having been originally a shelter created by the Lutherans who welcomed the passing fishermen and visitors in town, offering them food and shelter as well as access to education and religious ceremonies in the chapel - now known as a Havly restaurant. Arctic Hotel Nordkapp has a fantastically good and central location in the city centre, in a main street Storgata, within local shops, grocery shops, restaurants, bus station to Nordkapp, and cultural offerings. Hurtigruten Terminal is only 300 meters away and the nearest airport ,Valan, is 3.7 km away. Hotel has been partly renovated in 2018, all rooms has private bathrooms, desk with a good lighting and quality beds. All rooms have free wifi/wireless internet with easy connection and breakfast included in the price of accommodation. Original part of the hotel are economic class rooms. These rooms has same facilities as a renovated part. Hotel has Lounge, where guests can play ping pong, read books, or watch TV. As part of our continued commitment to enhance our property and service, we are currently in the process of renovating our rooms on the January 2024 in the one of the Hotel wings (no accommodation int that part of the hotel). During the renovation period, work will commence from 8:00 to 16:00 daily until 1st May, 2024. As a result, there may be some construction noise during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause and your understanding and support during the renovation period is much appreciated.

“A Boutique hotel with a great breakfast.”
Loved the decoration and art in the common areas. Fab hotel, in the main street. Note that some rooms face the street, so you will hear the cars if the windows are open. Excellent breakfast, including hot food.

This is a gorgeous place to stay. The attention to detail for its art, fabrics and furnishings is exceptional. The breakfast was superb with a wonderful selection of local meats, fish and cheeses with an ample supply of bread, jams, cereal, alternative milks, juices and a hot plate. Our twin room was clean, cosy and good shower with gel dispenser. Enikø made us feel very welcome with tips to see the town and she kindly cleaned and filled our hot water flasks for our onward journey. If travelling by local bus the stop is right outside. It is in the centre of town. Walking distance to everything. I would 100% recommend this place and stay again when back in Alta.

“Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly welcome”
I ended up here late at night after flight delays meant I missed the coastal route ferry and was stranded. The room was small but comfortable and very clean and the guy on reception was friendly and helpful. Great location just a few minutes’ walk from where the ferries dock.

“Great stay”
It was very convenient located, close to harbour and any amenities. I came earlier than check in time but the host kindly allowed me to get in the room as it was ready. Bedroom was clean, bed super comfortable and very quiet. The host was super helpful with answering my questions about where to eat, go for walk etc. As I was departing early, they kindly prepared for me a little breakfast pack and stored at the reception mini fridge. Also, they have a restaurant linked to the hotel and food and service was exceptional. I really enjoyed my stay

“Perfect stay!”
Clean room. Spacious. Modern shower with a lot of hot water. Kind staff. Good breakfast with a variety of everything. In the centre. Close to Nordkapp. We booked the cheapest room we could find in Honningsvag with a private bathroom and breakfast as we needed it only for a night. It ended up being one of the best hotels we stayed in.

Nice hotel right in the centre and near trails. The rooms are cosy, clean, and ideal for a short stay. If you take the breakfast option, you will have a good choice between sweet and savoury. The team working there was extremely friendly and very helpful. I recommend!

Very short stay for me. didn't get to try the included breakfast. But the staff was very helpful. She helped me book a taxi as well and supported any clarifications I had. Good vibe and ambience too... very calming...

“Northern Lights in Nordkapp! Magical !”
Magnificent, the place is beautiful ! We have enjoyed staying in this Hotel located in the beautiful fisherman town of Honningsvag. The staff is simply exceptional and very professional. They provided valuable information in the region especially during the month of winter when the weather can be tricky and road access complicated. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and utilities functional. I highly recommend this hotel !
