Guests can relax in the Yukata robe or watch the LCD TV. All rooms include a toilet, an electric kettle and a fridge. The ryokan is a 10-minute walk from the beautiful Kumano Kodo forest path, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 37 km from JR Shingu Train Station and 53 km from JR Kiitanabe Train Station. On-site parking is free. Guests can enjoy a game of ping-pong or billiards, or browse the gift shop. Two private hot-spring bathes can be used when it's available. A set-menu Japanese breakfast and dinner are served at the property restaurant. Guests with dinner included in the rate must check in by 18:30 to eat dinner at the property. Comfortable hotel option for visting Hongu Taisha

Large ryokan located not far from Yunominae Onsen but outside the town. Good option when limited stays on the Kumano Kodo trail. Dinner was very good. Rooms are pretty if dated.

Top hotel and great staff and meals, onsens was a sellin point for me.

I love onsens and at the end of our Kumano kodo walk, the hotel was a reward for a challenging bit amazing walk. Staff were always helpful and were enthusiastic about providing excellent service. Onsens and meals were fantastic! My room was also very comfortable and roomy with good facilities.

Great retreat.

Great escape after the hustle and bustle of touring the cities. Quiet and private place. Lots of options of private and public onsens to relax after a hike.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. They even drove to pick me up as I was waiting for the last bus after missing out on an earlier one. Dinner was terrific - good value for money! It was a delight after hiking 20km!

very efficient, responsive, committed team to ensure 100% guest comfort...highly recommend!

nicely maintained garden, near to nature with good greenery, nice green view, very efficient and responsive team highly committed to give full customer comfort and convenient! Pickup from Yunomine Public Onsen to the hotel is always timely whenever we text them via Booking.com message apps, impressed with their service. We like the different variety of dinner dishes for the 3 nights we spent, we enjoyed very much that attentiveness! We had a last minute request for a bento lunch box for 3 pax in one morning and they were ready within 15mins when we were ready for the pre-arranged shuttle service from the hotel to Yunomine Onsen bus-stop, everything is well managed and organised... Staffs speak good English and some were able to communicate Mandarin, good effort! Special thanks to Taka san!

The level of service was simply outstanding! From the moment we arrived (not quite dressed for any occasion, after a hefty day hike in pouring rain), to the moment we left, the staff was extremely helpful. When we found out late in the evening our planned train connection wasn't available after all, they helped us find an alternative and offered bento boxed breakfast, only to come knocking on our door 5min later when they thought of an even better option by driving us to a bus stop a few villages away early the morning. Special thanks to Tak from the front desk! Dinner and breakfast were also an exciting culinary journey :-)

Private onsen!

The best thing about this is that they have private onsen included, you don’t have to pay extra for that. Good food and incredible staff.
