Our stay with Heidi Korea was absolutely amazing! Mr Lee is the most lovely & friendly host we have ever experienced! We arrived and he straight away greeted us and showed us around. He then offered to take us to the supermarket to get food & even help us make a BBQ but we had had a long day so had an early night instead. The next day he took us to the ski rental shop and waited with us to get kitted out. The ski shop he used was also great as they offered complimentary transfer to and from the ski resort. When we returned from our day on the slopes, Mr Lee was there waiting for us to take us into town to find dinner! It was one of our birthdays so after dinner, he made us a drink in the Heidi Cafe and we sat and chatted for hours! He also gave us a lift to the bus stop on our departure day and waited with us for the bus! We miss Heidi already and really hope we can return in the near future! Thank you again Mr Lee :))

Everything. The host is extremly helpful and welcoming. The location is beautifully placed in the middle of nature. The Heidi BBQs are to be remembered, as the fireplace at night. Definetely recommend a stay here!

We had an enjoyable stay at Heidi Korea and truly enjoyed the experience. The in-house barbecue was fantastic. For the charcoal BBQ, we paid Mr Lee a small fee to prepare the charcoal, which was very convenient. He also kindly sent us to a nearby supermarket where we could buy our own BBQ ingredients. Cooking our own food over charcoal was a great experience, and the kids especially loved it. The surrounding nature is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax away from the city. The owner, Mr Lee, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made a real effort to communicate with us, offered recommendations for nearby places to visit, and helped us communicate with taxi drivers. His hospitality made our stay much more comfortable and stress-free. Due to the winter season, we did not get the chance to try the vegetables that Mr Lee grows on his small farm, which would have been a lovely experience in warmer months. We visited Morning Calm and Petite France, just so-so, and the cold winter weather made it difficult to walk around for long. For skiing, Mr Lee recommended a discounted ski-rental shop, which helped us save money on equipment rentals, which we really appreciated.

I booked Heidi due to the wonderful reviews and they did not disappoint. Mr & Mrs Lee have a beautiful property and make sure guests are very well looked after. My kids have a new honorary halmoni (grandma) and harabeoji (grandpa) with my daughter especially fond of Mrs Lee. The good times started before we’d even arrived in Korea, with Mr Lee kindly arranging our Big Van transfers from Seoul and back again. We took the BBQ option on night one and had a delicious meal after Mrs Lee took us on quick trip to the supermarket. The next day Mr Lee drove us too and picked us up from Vivaldi and on the last day, helped us arrange a day out at the Rail Park and Nami Island. Mr Lee’s hand drawn map was invaluable. I highly recommend Heidi and we will be back!

The location was great, the heating was exceptional along with the presence of snow making it a very good place to stay, the owner was very friendly and would tell us about his experiences with other tourists that stayed here.

The hosts were fantastic! As a solo traveler, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home including driving me to the ski rental place and making sure I was outfitted. The hostess brought me up some food when I got back from skiing which was great. They go above and beyond to look after their guests.

Heidi is on top of a hill with its own amazing look out point and backed by larger mountains. There are several comfortable and spacious Danish styled units around a big central garden. Although it was Winter, the accommodation was very warm. We experienced a delicious barbecue and beautiful campfire during our short stay. Heidi is owned by Mr.& Mrs. Lee, a lovely and sincere couple who run Heidi with a lot of care and pride. We felt very welcomed and looked after. Mr. Lee answered our many queries with helpful information and suggestions and Mrs. Lee's culinary treats were always happily received :)). On the day of our arrival, Mr. Lee actually kindly picked us up from Vivaldi Ski Resort. Vivaldi is also accessible by bus 800 from the Tourist Site Bus Stop down the hill. This bus also goes to Chuncheon city and train station. It takes about half an hour both ways. You can use your travel cards from Seoul.

This is my first time to Korea with my family and my elder parents, i share with Heidi the place i planning to go in the area, and they suggested us the timing and routing. They also went for the extend to help us book the friendly and cheaper taxi to help us get around the places we went.

“A very nice place with an excellent host”

It is house with at least two rooms for rent. The rooms are on the first floor, the hosts live at the bottom. The rooms have no common walls with other rooms and you cannot hear anything through the floor so the place is very quiet. The house is o a glade, surrounded by trees, protected by a thick layer of trees from the road, so there is really peace and quiet. There is lots of space to park. There is a river and a hill really close - we didn't visit them, but they looked really nice. The rooms are very nice. We had two really big and comfortable beds, a refrigerator, a thing to heat up food, a bathroom with shampoo, gel, toothpaste. There is floor heating and AC, the floor heating is enough to heat up the room. The WiFi works very well. The hosts are super friendly, the host made us feel like we are family - showed us where he travelled, organized a barbecue, told very interesting stories and even gave us some kimbap when we left. We really felt at home, it was a great atmosphere. Even before we arrived the host offered us help with anything we needed. We were also offered slippers. We would definitely return to Heidi if we one day come back to Korea.

We stayed for 1 night at Heidi Korea and we wish we stayed longer!! We arrived a bit late and hadn’t had time for dinner yet, the owners (a beautiful married couple) were outside waiting for us and immediately asked if we had eaten yet, they kindly drove us to a supermarket so we could buy things to BBQ for dinner, they then set up the bbq area for us with coals they had been heating all day just incase we wanted to bbq! They picked vegetables from their garden for us to have and even spoiled us with some Makgoli! The accomodation itself was well kept and the beds comfortable and larger than standard hotel beds. But the host definitely make this stay worthy of its high ranking, 100% recommended to everyone and will be coming back to stay in future! 사장님 정말 감사합니다! 최고의 시간을 보냈습니다!

“Best accommodation ever in my life”

The location of the accommodation was perfect, as it was not far from Vivaldi Park. Also, the host picked us up anytime on our way to Vivaldi. They do have a ski rental shop that gives discounts and pick-up service to the guests of this accommodation. They have a place for BBQ and a view point on the side of the accommodation, which was amazing.
