Well… Chungking mansions. A local legend to stay in Hong Kong. True reality of some people. Excellent location, superb guesthouse managed my lovely Kumar and Cherry. Everyday cleaning, new sheets and towels. Marvelous price quality performance. Stayed there for 2 weeks, loved it. A little tip: you need to keep an open mind.

“Great value”
The location is perfect! Right near Tsim Sha Tsui station and just a short walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East station. Also close to the direct bus to the airport. The hosts are lovely and always willing to help! I've read some reviews that say they didn't feel safe due to the sellers downstairs as you are in the middle of the Chungking Mansions but honestly as a solo female traveller that was never an issue for me, you just give them a polite nod or a no thank you and they move on. Overall this is a great place when you want a central location and are on a budget!

Very good location, market on the ground floor to exchange money and buy food and drinks, staff was very nice, easy to get in and out, towels changed every day and room cleaned, water available to fill bottles, elevator wasn't as busy as mentioned in the other comments, room for 3 was big enough for 2, hot water
