“Exactly what I expected!”

This property is a credit to the hosts who have maintained a very high standard for years, since I first visited. The owner is excellent at communication and makes sure that they can meet with you to hand over keys, answer any questions and also provide local support. That said, this 17th century Fishermans cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and prepared. It has all of the old charm and is yet modern. I would advise some caution regarding accessibility as the staircase is an old circular staircase in keeping with the property's age. That said, with care for those less firm we have managed. I can't speak for chair users. The two bedrooms are full of character with a twin bed arrangement on the first floor and a king size double on the second floor. The modern bathroom is on the ground floor and extends out from the modern fitted kitchen. I should mention there is welcome tea and coffee and possibly a bottle of local cider in the fridge. One experience I've enjoyed once again is making a coffee early morning and sitting out in the back yard at one of the two tables and chairs, listening to the local wildlife. There are plants and shrubs that complete this idyll. Other facilities are the washing machine, which we used frequently as the temperature this week has hovered around 30c. In cooler times there is heating. The cottage is practically in the centre of Honfleur. The church is about 100 metres away with the old harbour centre not far beyond. If you have a car then the roads are small around old Honfleur. That said, there are good car parks within a few minutes walk. Drop your bags and go and park. The hosts can help. If you need it there is also broadband available. Or, to put it another way, I could quite happily live here. I hope that helps.

A wonderful location, house and host. Situated in the heart of a beautiful town, the house is charming and very well equipped. The host welcomed us and got us sorted with a car parking space a short walk up the road. She was very helpful with information about the house, location and ideas for food, markets and shops in Honfleur. The bedrooms are lovely. The house has a courtyard perfect for the four of us to eat outside. Truly a lovely stay.

Wonderful conversion of, I think, an old fisherman's cottage. Beautifully done. Right in the middle of town. The attention to detail by the owners is amazing. It felt like we were the first ones in, but clearly we weren't. There are inevitable compromises in a property like this (see below) but we felt that these were far outweighted by the advantages.

Perfect perfect perfect...I could write so much about this home and owners but to put it simply its perfect. This was our second stay and we celebrated my daughters birthday here. We would definitely return.

Convenient location, beautiful historic house renovated to a very high standard with everything needed. Clean and comfortable. The host Helene was brilliant and very friendly. Made you feel welcome to relax in her house. The bedrooms are huge with lots of quirky features.

The owner was friendly and helpful and had provided a useful handbook with instructions for using the kitchen equipment, recycling arrangements, market days, maps etc. All very useful. The house itself is a beautiful 17th century fisherman's house which, whilst quirky in some ways, had been decorated and modernised in a very sympathetic way. There was ample crockery, cutlery, glassware etc and all cooking equipment was high quality. Our only issue was the stairs to the bedrooms were very steep and spiral, and you had to go through one bedroom to reach the next. This was however part of the house's charm. The owner had made kind touches such as flower arrangements on the garden tables, and a bottle of local cider in the 'fridge. The location of the house was perfect for walking around Honfleur itself, but we had to park some distance away, which was a little inconvenient., but that is small price to pay fur being in the old quarter . All in all, a very good week's holiday in a beautiful place.

The property was a recently and tastefully refurbished ancient fisherman's cottage with modern new kitchen, bathroom and wc and dining area and a delightful small walled garden. It was very and tidy and well appointed. The host was very helpful and handed the keys over personally and gave information on the property.

Immaculately clean. Central location. Fully equipped.
