“A very comfortable stay in a gorgeous location”

Fantastic location, just outside the town but within walking distance of the centre. Welcoming hosts, beautiful guest house, stunning views especially from the balcony at breakfast. Our room and bathroom were spotless. Hosts don’t speak English but made lots of effort to communicate and were so kind and helpful! Lots of walking / biking trails on the doorstep.

The breakfast was excellent; lots of variety and perfectly presented in a lovely enclosed terrace with a nice view over the countryside. The interior decoration (paintings and artistic objects) were beautiful. Off road parking was good ; be aware that local roads are very narrow and tight and care must be taken in certain areas.

The location just outside the town was perfect with lovely views. It was peaceful and quiet due to the countryside location. Rosa was very welcoming and helpful - the perfect host.

Amazing house. Rosa, the owner, is kind and mythical. Great views of the mountain, but also close to the beach. Top notch cleanliness (they change the towels greatly etc)

“Very remote accommodation”

Owner was very friendly upon arrival. Tried to tell us all about the area however did not speak a word of English to us (when booking it stated English was one of the languages spoken). We had been to Hondarribia before so that did not matter.

The host was very friendly and although we do not speak Spanish took time to explain a lot about the possibilities and sightseeing. We had a great stay!

Rosa is an amazing, kind host and makes a huge effort to provide what you ask for. The house is accessible by car with good space for parking. The house is absolutely spotless. She prepares a good continental breakfast with croissants, fruit, excellent bread, and you eat that on the balcony with a view of the countryside around. From the house you can drive to Hondarribia, which is a very interesting mediaeval town, with some good restaurants down on the Main Street before you walk up to the old town. We had really good fish there.

Beautiful house in the foothills of Hondarribia. You can hear the cow bells as you wake up and have lovely views out your window and the terrace. The owner was so kind and helpful and showed us all the “must see” parts of hondarribia on a map, including nice walks and good places to eat etc. rooms were really clean and beautifully decorated in a traditional style.

Wonderfully welcoming hosts, great location - a 15 minute walk into lovely Hondarribia - and veranda views for breakfast (cakes brought up each day from town!) Highly recommended.

“Excellent place to stay on the Spanish/French border.”

Classic Basque caserio very close to Hondarribia and Irun with some great restaurants and tapas bars within cycling, or walking, distance. The hosts are very friendly and Rosa has a wealth of stories and information about the area (you'll need to speak Spanish, or Basque though...). Superb breakfast, including delicious local pastries, served on the terrace with great views over the countryside. Great position for cycling up Jaizkibel (an imposing local mountain) or along the Bidasoa river 'via verde', or into France.
