Set on the banks of the Canal du Midi, La Maison des Palmiers is a manor built by the Saint Exupery family in the 1860s. Decorated with Napoleon III furnishings, the guest rooms offer a view of the Mediterranean garden or the canal. Some of the rooms also feature original fireplaces. The breakfast was amazing, the hosts were extremely welcoming, and the bed was good. Hosts were also very accommodating and helpful to prepare for our boat trip. Homps was a really charming town and the pizza right next door was great!

Maison des Palmiers is a very beautiful place. We enjoyed the imaginative decor of the rooms, the garden and general atmosphere of the place. The hosts, Gemma and Matt, were incredibly welcoming and friendly and really care about their guests. Breakfast was excellent, too.

What a beautiful place! Gemma and Matt are the perfect hosts and have made the house feel both stately and welcome. A nice garden to relax in just on the river board, and a lovely breakfast too- what more could one desire?

Fabulous room, location right on the canal and next door to a lovely bistro. Matt the owner could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful ! We had a hire car and there was easy parking right outside and a great supermarket in the village to stock up for the next days drive. Close to many lovely places and couldn't recommend more .
