“Perfect stay for 2 nights”

everything was perfect. The kitchen was very well equipped, our room was beautiful it had everything we needed. I really appreciated that our room had its own hairdryer (which by the way it's the one we have at home) and it never happened also in 5 stars hotel that a room has a very good hairdryer like this one! Gunna was very kind and we'll remember her.

Wonderful stay! I had an amazing stay at Guesthouse Holmur. The room was warm, cozy, and very comfortable, which was especially appreciated after a day of exploring Iceland. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Everything was clean and well maintained. A special thank you to the woman working at reception. She was absolutely lovely, very communicative, welcoming, and always happy to help. Her kindness and positive attitude made the stay even more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

“Lovely clean and comfortable farmhouse”

Lovely farmhouse, cosy and comfortable beds. Nice kitchen and everything is very clean. Views at the back to the glaciers, we could see two from our window. Perfect place and wish we stayed longer.

“Ok place for a night”

Ok place for an overnight stay. The kitchen has the essentials. Nicely located on the countryside close to a glacier. Plenty of animals around.

We were a family of 5 staying here and we loved it. It was our favourite accommodation in Iceland. The location with the mountain range in the background is beautiful. We were greeted by sheep and goats during sunset when we arrived and after breakfast dog Mona played with us. Our hosts told us about the old barn and how the buildings were used as cow houses. The rooms were clean and the beds cozy. If you are in the area, definitely stay here - and if you have time, stay longer than one night. ;-)

“Disappointment, sorry to say, because I loved the place.”

I like the location very much . I have been there before, many years ago ( 10 ) when everything was blooming. I liked everything then. Now my room was ok, comfortable but not tasteful, the bed was good, the wi-fi was good. After the breakfast the host played a beautiful song on the piano, which followed my soul all day. Very nice.

The rooms were very cute and animal themed, and it was very comfortable too. The hosts Maggi and Gunna were very friendly, I enjoyed chatting to them!

First of all they have the chunkiest puppy we have ever seen! 10/10 would recommend! The rooms are cozy and warm everyone was nice and the view on the glacier great!

Close to different attractions on the south coast, well priced as well. Very cute house and the host was super sweet and nice. Part of our group was staying at a different accommodation and she kindly let us use the kitchen so that we can have breakfast and dinner all together. Very clean and we would stay gladly here next time. Thank you 😊

“Fantastic countryside experience in the midst of wild Iceland”

Fantastic countryside experience (ducks & sheep are what we’ve seen :)), beautiful empty landscape (we’ve seen aurora in the night). Comfy beds and clean house. Lovely shared space for breakfasts and evenings in main building (with bandstand and a wonderful collection of various instruments [harmonicas!]).

The host was nice and breakfast not so bad, even some vegan options. Beautiful view on the glacier. Huge brewery and the restaurant with live music in the middle of nowhere surprised me, even though I live in Iceland

A lovely, rural guesthouse run by welcoming and friendly Icelandic farming folk who obviously have many talents. The room was very comfortable, the house authentic and quaint, and breakfast was superb. Thank you!
