Overview
A 27-km coastline of white sand, a beautiful dune landscape and picturesque villages – this is Ameland in a nutshell. Free Wi-Fi is available at Sier aan Zee. Beautifully hidden in a hollow in the dunes, Sier Ameland is a unique accommodation where the friendly staff are more than happy to share the delights of the island with you. After a day of exploring, retreat to the comfort of your modern double, 4-bedded or 6-bedded room. Each of the rooms in the three buildings offer private bathroom facilities. Rooms are located around a large sports field and playground where you can play volleyball, have a kart race, play on the swings or relax with a drink. Socialize with the other guests in our friendly bar or the restaurant or relax by the cosy fire in the sun room when it’s cold outside.

“Active holiday in Ameland near the beach”
Quiet place near the beach (around 10 min walk to the beach). Convenient to relax in the evening. Breakfast was pretty good.

“Good enough for a short stay!”
Room is big enough for our family of 3. Staff were attentive despite how busy the place is. The weather during our stay wasn't as good as we hoped for, so we mostly stayed inside and we truly appreciate the family room where we can play some board games.

Location was excellent! 5 minutes walk to the beach and in the other direction 5 minutes walk to the forest. Kids loved feeding the ducks at the nearby nursery. Island itself is lovely and distances between villages are easily manageable by bike.

“Great value for money, cute familyhotel alltough big groups could stay. Very kidfriendly, nice staff”
No a la carte but buffet option, good meal deal. Breakfast good and various. Kids corner n reading/lounge living. Close to beach and only forest at Ameland, and a duck lake with various bird behind the property. Small playground.

A very good experience! The Sier aan Zee hotel is a very friendly context. Room are basic but with enough space, clean and efficient. The buildings around a playground made the "village" very nice and pleasant. Food and breakfast ok, staff friendly and helpful. Location in the island is perfect, the quietness total!
