Overview
Located 50 metres from the beach on Holbox Island, this colourful hostel offers a garden with hammocks and a roof terrace overlooking the island. The spacious rooms feature free Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms. The modern Tribu Hostel offers shared dormitories and private rooms, with bright décor and mosquito nets. Bed linen is included and towels can be rented. The Tribu has a communal kitchen and BBQ facilities. You can enjoy kite surfing lessons, movie nights and jam sessions in the bar. Staff can also provide maps and information about the island. Hostel Tribu is situated just 3 blocks from the centre of Holbox’s main fishing village. The surrounding Yalahau Lagoon is an ideal place to spot dolphins and rare birds.

“Over priced for what’s offered”
Accommodation includes Yoga and a range of activities. The yoga wasn’t really yoga as the instructor had a bad back. Kitchen was a little confusing with no clear to leave or share food. Didn’t seem very sociable despite a lot of digital nomads.

“Lovely hostel with great atmosphere”
Lovely place to start my trip. I ended up extending four times in total. I would highly advise staying here if you are visiting the island (and eating at Antojitos Norma!). A special thank you to Nelly for making me feel very welcome (as was true of all the staff and volunteers)

A colourful and chill place to stay. We had our own room with a bathroom. The only thing missing was a second wall socket. We would have wanted to charge our phones on both sides of the bed. The activities were a nice plus. We booked a bioluminescence kayak trip with the hostel, but that night there was none.

Loved my stay at Tribu! Had classes of yoga and Thai Chi every day, lots of activities included. Confortable beds. Volunteers in the hostel are super friendly and helpful!

“Chill Hostel with potential”
The vibe is welcoming and friendly. Hammock area. Near to the sea. The hostel offers different activities. Toilette and Shower are in different Rooms. When I talked to the stuff about the negative Points below, they took it serious and their reaction was friendly. So maybe they already improved it.

“Perfect location, great activities!”
The location is perfect! Beach is right there, you can walk from the ferry, and everything else is close too. The volunteers & staff are so friendly, activities are fun, and the yoga is great!! Ended up staying 4 nights, but could have been longer :)
