Everything was exactly as described. The room was clean and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The terrace was stunning at night—you could see all the stars. It was far away from the noise and chaos, yet still close to many restaurants and beach clubs. Susanne made everything easy from the moment we booked. She helped with transportation and was attentive even before we arrived. She genuinely wants her guests to have the best time on the island. She gave us great tips on where to eat and what to do, and she made sure everything went smoothly. She even checked the ADO bus schedule from the Cancun terminal for us and informed us that we would need to arrange an alternative transfer, helping with the negotiations as well. She goes above and beyond, preparing amazing cakes in the morning along with delicious coffee so you can start your day in a relaxed way. We were so happy to find Sunsteps Casa for our holiday, and even happier to have had the chance to meet Susanne.

A perfect little quiet hideaway, a little outside the hustle of Holbox downtown, which makes it perfectly serene and relaxing. Still everything you need is within walking distance. The host is extremely welcoming and makes you feel at home instantly. She provided us with a lot of useful information, from dining options to tours, bike rentals and which ATM to avoid in order not to spend too much on fees. We were the only guests at the time of our stay and had the whole property almost to ourselves - including the lovely rooftop terrace and pool. I especially loved the friendly interior of the hotel with plenty of light and plants that give the place a cheerful feel - while being spotlessly clean. Would definitely come back next time we’re on Holbox!

Susana, the owner, was amazing, very kind and welcoming. The cake she brought us was delicious. The room was clean, and everything matched the photos perfectly. The location is ideal: a bit away from the center so it’s quiet, yet still close to the beach.

Sunstep is an awesome hotel. Great location, not in the centre, only 10 mins walk. Very peacefull, clean, spacy rooms, incredible rooftop area with a beautiful little pool. We had an amazing stay and susanna went beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely go back. Thanks mucho again susanna 🙏🙌👌👌👌

The host was incredibly welcoming and gave excellent recommendations for the island, restaurants, and excursions. There was complimentary drinking water, coffee, and even free cake, which was a lovely touch. The facilities are modern and very well maintained. The balcony and the rooftop terrace with pool and sea view are beautiful and perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotless, and the shower had very good water pressure (which is not always common) The location is quiet and peaceful.

We really enjoyed our stay! I loved the terrace, it’s near the beach and Susanna is so nice and supportive!

The location was great, far enough out of town to be more relaxed and quiet but close (2-5 min walking) to a few restaurants and shops. The room was spacious, clean and very new. There was a huge double bed which was really comfortable. There is a lovely pool on the roof which was almost always empty while we were there, it was clean with great views and a nice spot for the sunset. We loved the fact that we could refill our water bottles at the hotel and there was always a freshly brewed coffee and some cake to snack on. The host was one of the highlights, she was knowledgeable about local attractions and tours and gave us plenty of advice. She made sure there was torches available for walking the streets after dark and ensured a mosquito coil was always burning in the public areas of the hotel to prevent guests from being bitten. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even brining me a glass of wine while I was lying by the pool one day. We felt incredibly welcome and well taken care of, I have not experienced such good hospitality in any other hotels, this was the best!

Susanna is a truly wonderful host and made me feel right at home and you could tell she really cared about the wellbeing of her guests. It has been a truly memorable experience in all the right ways from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, spacious and nicely decorated with plenty of amenities. I also liked all the gorgeous house plants and lovely rooftop pool.

Susanne was a fabulous and attentive host. We booken our stay in an off season (last week of november), and the hotel had only two rooms occupied. Susanne was very kind to upgrade us to a nicer room (top floor). Everything was clean, great beds, extra beach towels, a place to fill up drinkable water, and a delicious italian Bundt lemon cake (not a common occurance). The rooftop is awesome. You can enjoy stargazing, and/or sunset (and even sunrise) watching.
