Overview
Set on the beautiful beach of Holbox Island, this accommodation offers privacy within a walking distance from the town centre. Palapas Del Sol features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and a pool. Rooms at Del Sol are set in 6 beach cottages that feature local palapa architecture with palm-thatched roofs. The cottages have their own terrace with hammocks and there are mosquito nets on each window. The interiors of the rooms feature tiled floors and Mexican décor. Each comes with a private bathroom and an iPod docking station on the seating area. There is also a hammock inside each room. Palapas Del Sol has an outdoor pool set on the beach sand, featuring views of the Caribbean Sea. This place is an absolute gem and nothing else but perfection! The place offers the most beautiful environment to relax. The spacious room was clean and comfortable, the AC worked perfectly and we had a mini fridge. The place is located right at the most picturesque beach. The sand is white and the water blue and the palapas at the beach are just amazing - spacious offering lots of shade during the day. The bar/restaurant is serving food right at the beach if you want, and the à la carte breakfast is very delicious with plenty of options. The outdoor space is so beautiful with palapas and palm trees, and the staff are just welcoming and friendly. The pool area was also perfect for our needs and very clean. The hotel next door has a nice restaurant that serves the most delicious food! Biggest recommendation!

Beautiful hotel and very pretty room overlooking palms and a bit of sea. Clean, daily towels, and most important: 20 meters from the beautifull beach. Nice beach beds with shade, easy whatsapp service. Good breakfast and also other food choices in the restaurant near the beach were fine. Food did take a bit long most of the time. I would definitely book again.

“Peacefull hotel in quite part of Holbox”
Nice and quite location in Holbox. We had an upgrade to the tower room which was a super Nice room with private tower. Facilities are great as is th service from the beach staff

“Magical, tropical, dream holidays!”
The place is MAGICAL!!! Compared to all other hotels around, it was the most colourful, very well maintained and had the exact feeling of tropical holidays. The beach in front was also the best compared to all other (further down was very smelly). Staff was great, polite, attentive and always eager to help (great whatsapp communication during our stay). Only 15' walk to center (1.3km) and very safe to walk in the middle of the night too. We appreciated also the amazing (but necessary) upgrade, because the room with garden view was too dark!!! Our friends got the best room they EVER stayed at :)

“Beautiful beach, perfect location!”
Perfect location a little away from the main village but benefiting of a wider stretch of unspoiled beach, also way closer to Playa Mosquito which was a great benefit on our walk there in the early morning (unmissable early morning walk during low tide and smaller crowds). The room was spacious and always clean, not a single insect! Breakfast was perfect and super tasty!

“2 week Holbox stay.”
Awesome 2 week stay at a beautiful hotel right on the beach. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, the entire facility was spotless despite the challenge of the sand and we would highly recommend this hotel. It's a little farther away from the centre of town (a nice 20 minute walk along the beach) but we liked that it's away from the more populated end of the beach.

“Wonderful experience from start to finish.”
We loved everything about this hotel! It absolutely blew us away. The staff were kind, attentive and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had a super experience. It was evident that they cared this way for every single guest. Every morning this hotel was the first on the beach to clear up the seaweed and make it accommodating for its guests. We were impressed with everything from start to finish. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return! Thank you for an amazing experience
