“Camping life!”

I loved the place! First of all it's really clean everywhere around. There is a spacious kitchen and the best and completely furnished live I've never seen anywhere in my life, not even a restaurant! All the volunteers here are nice and friendly people, they work hard every day to keep clean all around and prepare the tents in a perfect way and they were asking me always if I needed anything when I was sick.. I could spend the whole day of my check out on the couch (it supposed to be on the beach that's why I had the ferry in the evening :( ) so sad enough but really nice! The tents are pretty comfy, there is not a proper mattress but it's okay! Enough space, there are sockets and a proper lamp in it! There is a strong fan in each tent that works perfectly and keep you so fresh all the time! Clean toilets and showers for everyone with no hot water which is fine with those temperature during the day! The camp itself is small you have rope around to hang all your clothes, you have space to wash them, a big barbecue available, hammocks around and table with benches where to meat and talk with new people! Free water to cook and refill your bottle, little locker to store your dry food and your space in the fridge. Big locker for your bag on personal object. It's in a super quiet street and actually 10 min from the main square and the Chedraui supermarket. Just outside they have their own shop with basic fruit and and everything you need, eggs, repellent, cola, frozen fish and the prices are not too bad at all! 5 min from the beach and 15 from the ferry! Racoon all night long running around! :D Not annoying, noisy just scary or cute if you don't know! Cheapest and chill option on the island!

I was completely taken aback by this place. Not really knowing what to expect with the whole ‘staying in a tent thing’, I was totally surprised, in the best possible way. Kin is a well thought out and attractive little oasis, tucked away but centrally located. It has a charm and ambiance which in my opinion is unmatched and enhanced be the delightful crew of travellers, volunteers and individuals working there. They were to a person considerate, kind and thoughtful souls, who were a delight to be around. The tents were well positioned and the mattresses inside comfortable. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return were I ever to return to Holbox.

Friendly, information was great facilities were great and I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Isla holbox and looking to see a more rustic beautiful way to stay on the island, top notch in my humble opinion

“Best and cheapest place to stay in Holbox”

This was the cheapest place I found on Holbox, and the best! I had a private tent all for myself with a fan, power outlets, a light and wifi coverage. The kitchen is very well equipped. The location is close to the center but not inside, the perfect balance. The volunteers we're all super nice and made the place feel like a home with a family.

this place is lovely- i absolutely enjoyed my stay! one "planned" week turned into 3 🤣 gracias a todos🫶🏽especially to ray- el alma buena de este lugar❤️gracias por todo, amigo❤️ there is light, a fan and plugs in the tent 🫶🏽 never had this before at a camping, i think its awesome! this is the best equipped and cleanest hostel kitchen i've ever seen! and its very well maintained and taken care of. always drinkingwater for free and in the morning there is also free coffe from the hostel for everybody. everybody has its own private space in the fridge, and a little storageplace in the kitchen as well. also there is a big locker including a lock, for the luggage for everyone. the suff is awesome and super helpful and nice, i absolutely felt welcome and "home" 🥰 its a little "out of town", so its pretty quiet, what i absolutely loved as well. all in all, i would say, i highly recommand this place!

“A perfect place to stay in Holbox!”

Really enjoyed my stay at Kin, and even extended my stay by 3 nights to spend a week there. The tent I stayed in was perfect - comfortable for sleeping, with a fan, light and plug socket. They also have mosquito nets. The area is peaceful which allowed for great sleeping. All of the hostel staff and volunteers are very kind and work really hard to ensure the place is always really clean. Would highly recommend staying here when in Holbox!

“Stay here and you may never want to leave”

Amazing place to stay, relax, and meet other travelers. There were clear rules for the hostel and dorms that everybody followed, which made the nights very peaceful. There was a well equipped kitchen with a fridge and dry storage to leave your food. There are multiple comfy hangout spots with hammocks around, so you can choose whether you want to relax or chat a bit with other people in the hostel. Also, I loved the location, which looks on the map like it is a bit further from the main square, but there are still some shops, taquerias, and fruterias nearby, the neighbourhood is less touristy and more quiet and honestly, you can't not enjoy the walks around the island, so a couple minutes more won't matter that much I think. When I arrived at this hostel the plan was to stay for only a couple of days and I stayed for 10 days, because I had such a great time and I definitely wasn't the only one feeling that way.

“Holbox is magical and this place was the cherry on top!”

Spotless facilities, cosy hammocks, cheeky raccoons and great staff - I've never seen anyone cleaning with so much dedication (italian mum standards 🤣) Chilled and super relaxing but plenty of opportunities to socialise if you want to. An extra star for the free coffee in the morning!

The matrasses could be slighty more comfortable but thats the only downside.

“Great experience”

Very cosy tent! I slept very well there even though there's racoons running around at night so don't get scared xD There's nice area just to chill or socialise with others. The staff was friendly. I didn't feel unsafe in my little tent as a solo traveller so all good.

Fun option to sleep in the tents, not hot at all. Great fully equipped kitchen. Staff very helpful and friendly. Speak French English and Spanish

“Great Camping at a beautiful island”

For me, this place was the perfect place to stay at on Holbox. It's an easy walk from the center, but far enough to be super quiet and peaceful. It's small but social, easy going, clean, very friendly people working here and the tents were comfortable. I liked the common area, perfect to chill in a hammock or have a chat with the other guests. The kitchen was well organized too. Just around the corner is a little market where you can buy fresh fruits and food, also a nice alternative from all the restaurants in the center.

The kitchen is amazing. The tents stay dark during the day (so you can sleep for long) and they do not get hot!!! Fantastic!

It’s very unique. A lot of public cornerds and space. The vibe is great. You feel like you can smell freedom and dream while I am here. The bed Is comfy. Kitchen is amazing. I love everything.
