“Beautiful property”

Beautiful and well-maintained property. Excellent location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. They also included a free "welcome drink" on our first night. Would definitely stay here again.

As someone who always does a very deep dive into the accommodation options when I go away, my husband and I could not have been happier with Hotel Mawimbi. Perfect location: a short stroll to the main square and port, and the beach on our doorstep. Wonderful hotel: a real toes in sand experience - you could literally not wear shoes for a week. Very romantic, nice room, air conditioned, safe box, very comfortable bed and the softest of sheets. Always very clean with 2x services a day. Great food - we ate breakfast and lunch there most days - and brilliant cocktail menu (even though I mainly stuck to the Mariachi as it was so so good!) Incredible staff: they couldn't have made us feel more welcome or at home. Big shoutouts to Marcia, Bruno, Facuna, Moses, Elliot and Goradito (so sorry if any spelling mistakes there!) A real credit to the hotel, thank you for making our time so amazing. In short, I would recommend it fully and wouldn't even shop around next time we go to Holbox - it's just gotta be Mawimbi!

“Paradiso - Gracias por todos”

Paradise - we got to experience incredible island life with incredible views, food, facilities and most importantly people. Cannot rate our Mawimbi experience any better, we will be back! All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Vibe is perfect for laidback people who can appreciate this unique hotel, which has the best beach access on the island, sabroso comida and fun, attentive service!

“Relax and unwind”

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Cocktails were lovely. Location can’t be beaten, especially for sunset drinks. Perfect getaway for relaxing.

The hotel is fantastic!! The photos you see are exactly how it appears and the staff are SO warm and friendly. It is small and boutique and not overcrowded. We were staying here as an extra day added on before going to Casa las tortugas next door. While Casa las tortugas is pricier, Mawimbi was definitely the premier hotel in our view. The experience was much more personal, less crowded, better food and service, better day beds and lounge facilities. If I’d have known how nice it would be we would have stayed the whole time. Choose this one over Tortugas if picking. We intend on coming back!! Stay was perfection, thank you hotel Mawimbe!

The location was breathtaking. The ambiance was rustic but chic and the details were very much appreciated and the vibe beautiful. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding and we ended up eating in more than we would do ordinarily. We would definitely like to return.

“One of the best stays ever”

What a great place! We spent 3-4 days here and never really found a reason to leave the hotel grounds. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the beach is just so nice! This is not a giant hotel, so there’s limited amount of other guests, which makes it almost feel like you’re in your private hotel. The rooms were insanely nice, comfortable, and well decorated.
