Lovely Caribbean house, spacious and super comfortable, perfect location surrounded by green, 1 minute to the beach and ten minutes walk to the centre, wonderful kind and uncomplicated host.

Charming traditional construction and pretty garden. Very clean with comfortable beds. Lovely friendly helpful owner. Excellent location just out of town and metres from white sandy beach and swimming plus great beachside cafe & bar - easy to catch a taxi for 150 pesos or walk along the beach to town if its not too hot. Air con in bedrooms. Bioluminescence at the beach from nightfall is a beautiful bonus!

The island is a paradise. This apartment was tasteful, rustic, and comfortable. It felt like "home."

Additionally, there's a delightful family-run bar just 100 meters away, perfect for enjoying excellent Mexican breakfasts. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for anyone looking to experience the local culture and hospitality.

Gorgeous rustic and unique property. Quiet spot, very close to beach, Welcome and hospitality was absolutely lovely. Taxis are very expensive in Holbox. The heat was very hot. So bare this in mind if you fancy trips into town and do on. Couple of nice restaurants nearby. There is air con, fans and a good wide shady roof to keep temperatures down. Mosquito nets everywhere was good, not many around when we were there. Beds were comfy. All rooms nice and large. No tv, we liked this!

What a place! A genuine diamond in the soft, fine sands of Holbox. You could stay at any of the many modern bougie hotels on Holbox, but you wouldn't get a ounce of the home from home charm of Casa Cerseza. We had such a wonderful stay here.

“A very relaxed and private affair with the island”

The great location, few steps from the sea, a walk away from the centre and perfect for exploring on foot the coast all the way to Punta Cocos, and to Punta Mosquito. The accommodation, on the first floor of this palapa style building, is very comfortable (two separate double rooms, shared bathroom and a comfy kitchen cum dining room) and feels very private. Carla (in lieu of Sabine, who wasn't there) was very helpful, providing water, extra towels for the beach and sharing info about restaurants and activities in the island. We enjoyed some cocktails and our last breakfast at the Cafe del Mar, by the beach.

“delightful place for a stay on Holbox”

it is the second floor of a charming wooden house only a few seconds walk from the beach. it is on a quiet stretch of the island, away from beach bars that play loud music and a walk from the town centre. it is close to a market with cheap place to eat and the airfield. it has a kitchen with a gas hob, coffee maker and fridge/freezer, pots/pans/cutlery/crockery. holbox island has no tourist ‘attractions’ like museums, sights, ruins, walks, parks, shopping centres etc. so you are forced to relax!

We loved our stay at Casa Cereza so muchl!! Amazing location, super friendly and helpful host, very comfortable beds, we felt like at home!! We loved connecting and hearing the story of Sabine that came to the island many years ago and stayed there forever...such a legend!! We will never forget you <3
