Overview
Drifting Sands is a beachfront B&B, located in Hokitika, on the west coast of New Zealand. Guests can enjoy a beach bonfire, fresh homemade bread and jam's in the morning or preparing a meal in the shared fully-equipped kitchen. Drifting Sands Beachfront B&B is just a 5-minute walk from the town centre. You can relax in your room where you will find quality linens and mattresses and feather duvets. Or, enjoy the cosy shared lounge area at the property, which features a fireplace and a Bluetooth speaker to listen to your favorite music. There is also a dining area, where you can mingle with other guests staying at the property. Drifting Sands Beachfront B&B also a garden area where you can sit back and get comfortable on the beanbags, or sink in to the hot tub.

“What an absolute pleasure on the west coast.”
What a fantastic little gem. We had everything that we needed. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer to enjoy everything that was on offer. We will definitely be staying again on our way through.

Location location location! Loved sitting and watching the ocean and loved the fire pit with the grandchildren roasting marshmallows. Bbq was appreciated too

What a stunning little piece of paradise! We spent 4 nights here as a treat for my birthday and it really was such a treat - from the minute you walked in the door! Everything was just perfect! There has obviously been time and much love put into creating a warm and welcoming natural environment that includes so many home comforts - and right on the beach!! What we really enjoyed was the spa pool, close walking proximity to town, wine library, luxurious kitchen, snuggly beds, etc etc. And the fact we could take our furry schnauzer family member - who also had a ball! A huge thanks to Claire and Sandy for all of your attention to detail and making my birthday a special one. :)

Drifting sands is one of the coolest beach houses I've seen. I wish we stayed more than one night! Claire is very friendly and welcoming, she has put so much thought and effort into making her place one to remember. We will be back!

We had a lovely two nights - few random highlights: beautiful bed linen, absolute cleanliness, stunning beach with direct access and fantastic bonfire.. gorgeous weather to top it all off.
