Absolutely fantastic place to stay!! The cottage was comfortable, and had a lovely garden to walk in and explore. There is also a beautiful walk along the bluff, which allows you to easily get to some of the nearby attractions and restaurants. Well outfitted, and peaceful

“Peaceful and restorative”

We originally booked for 5 days and stayed for two weeks. We are bird photographers and the extensive and exquisitely created garden is home to many species. From the noisy Cape Parrots to the Sunbirds on the flowering Proteas and the chatty Prinias, we were spoilt for choice. We travel a lot and can happily say that this cottage was the best accommodation we've stayed in by far. It is so well appointed and so relaxing, it was almost impossible to leave to go anywhere. And the staff … Joanne was super-responsive with every request answered instantaneously and then acted upon immediately and house-keepers Yvonne and Nomandi quietly and efficiently refreshing towels and sheets and cleaning when requested. Trengwainton Cottage was described by someone in the visitor's book as being better than any expensive mindfulness retreat and we agree, when we did leave eventually, we felt refreshed and restored by the gentleness of nature that surrounded us.

We had a wonderfull stay at the beautiful cottage! The cottage is fully equipped and we received friendly and great informed service. The view from the cottage is beautiful!

The accommodation was amazing as it catered for everything we needed and the host was very responsive when communicating with her. The property is also well located with amazing views and a beautiful garden that was in full bloom. We left feeling relaxed and at peace.

We were there for the weekend of the 14-17th, our host Joanne was lovely and helpful. In fact the entire experience at the cottage was exceptional. Initially, we didn't want to leave but to extend our stay but unfortunately, we had commitments. I will definitely stay at this accommodation again. The environment was clean and the landscape was good, just a perfect location to rest and unwind.

Perfect cottage for two people. Has most of what you need as a self catering unit. Braai facility, free firewood, lovely fireplace and comfortable seating. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The solar was a bonus too and worked perfectly while we were there.

Love the location , beautiful floral garden and the veggies garden. The tranquility is appreciated and high water quality from the tap. Wifi always available and the heater kept the whole room warm.
