Peacefully little hideaway for our one night stopover

We had a wonderful stay! The host was very extremely helpful in giving directions and making sure we took the right roads.

The Cabins were magnificent and great value for money. 👌🏾 The hosts communicated timeously and very proficiently and we're willing to go the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as it possibly can.

The starry night skies were absolutely breathtaking. Our host, Morne, truly went above & beyond to make our stay welcoming. I fell ill during our visit, & we could really sense a genuine care & kindness from him. On our last day, he even surprised us with delicious berries he had picked on the mountain. An all-round wonderful host — we would return in a heartbeat.

“Awful experience and service at Diamond Vault”

There was no hot. We needed to take a shower so we can go out for breakfast but the water was ice cold on low pressure. We whatsapped the owner as he apparently stays on the property, he said we should turn on the gas can and we did and it was not working. we sent him a message to come and assist and he did not. after an hour I then sent another message that we can't bath and he still did not come. we then decided it wasn't worth it we were leaving. he then came as we were leaving, he still asked us to turn on a gas tank in a condescending tone, after we told him it wasn't working only then did he come check it out. he found out the batteries werent working. That simply means they did not check if their property was in order before they welcomed guests. The bed made a weird noise like it was broken, the bedding was dirty and there were no warm blankets nor was there a heater as he had advertised. As we were leaving we asked that he refund us for the second night we weren't going to spend at his property, he told us he did not take our money, we should ask the poeple we paid for a refund. We would like to be refunded as we only spent one night at his property and it was awful, his service was also awful.

This place was amazing! If you really feel like having an off the grid cabin experience then this is it! There's a lovely river a walking distance away with an area for making a camp fire. Our host was super kind and extremely passionate about the cabin life. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy cabin/camping life in a safe environment. Will be coming back soon.

Being in the forest was amazing, and the slightly off-grid experience was wonderful. The anonymity of the staff was actually a relief, and we would certainly come again!

Awesome rustic wooden cabin on a homestead nestled in the forests of Hogsback, surrounded by nature. Very good for the body, mind & soul! Our host, Morné, was fantastic, very communicative and informative. Loved having all the geese, ducks, chickens etc. roaming around, as well as Lisa, the 'good girl' 🐾 on the property.

The cabin was amazing, warm and cousy, the bed was very comfortable, the water was nice and Hot water in the Shower. The Host was very welcoming and humble. He thought us a lot about the mountains and gave us all the tips to make our weekend extra special. Thanks Morne we enjoyed our stay🙏🏿 We adored our friendly bodyguard Lisa❤️ The location was just perfect far up in the mountains in the woods, away from the noise, Very therapeutic and peaceful!

Rustic, quiet setting in the middle of the forest. Had everything we needed and we could just relax and enjoy nature. The host was amazing and checked in. Amazing value for money. Just the break we needed!

Secluded, but so homey. Felt instantly relaxed in the wooden cabin.

What an awesome place. Serene and calm in the Hogsback mountains. The host was super nice and offered for us to stay another night free of charge. Unfortunately we could not take him on his offer as we already had prior arrangements. Will definitely visit again.

“An amazing forest cabin getaway”

The perfect place to stay in hogback if you like the forest and nature. We had the bigger cabin and it was so comfy and had everything we needed and more. No need to worry about loadsheddibg because the cabin has a solar system setup. The beds have electric blankets if it gets realy cold. You can take a walk down to the river and explore the woods that are just to stunning to describe, you can even pack a picnic basket, its well worth it. We cooked most of our meals in the fire pit but there is an electric stove, microwave and it has a fridge and freezer as well as a electric kettle and perculator(manual) that you can use. The water is heated by a "donkey" but it was very easy to operate and the water got warm within 5min for a shower. It really us well worth it, you wount regret it!
