“The best stay I had in my whole trip on Iceland property”

My family of 4 has a wonderful time at the property. Hiking around the property with the beautiful snow capped mountains in the background and a steam that ran right beside the property. The house was very well appointed with all the amenities to feel like a home away from home. Hosts were extremely friendly. Greeted us and made sure that we felt comfortable and at home.They are very hospitable and warm hosts with a very cute dog.

This is amazing place in the middle of the nature. Everything worked well, our cottage and all areas were clean and well kept. Owners are also super nice and friendly. We can really recommend this place!

We had high expectations... But Dalasetur went far beyond. The place is just a paradise, in a lovely and tranquil area. The hot tub by the river, the amazing houses and the super-equipped kitchen will make your stay just perfect. Absolutely fantastic place! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The house is modern with cosy decoration. And the valley is just stunning. In plus, the hot tube is situated right next to the river which gives an extraordinary experience. We hope to come back for longer stay. Two days are definetely not enough for this wonderful place.

“THE most incredible find!”

Dalasetur far exceeded our expectations. What a wonderful find! Daniel is a warm and lovely host with his adorable little dog Yoki. There is soooo much attention to detail here, a lot of love has gone into the creation of Dalasetur…and heated polished concrete floors made our stay extra cosy. I thought this would be a “traveling through” stay, but this is actually a perfect base for experiencing the less traveled and non-touristy part of northern Iceland. Next time I will stay for much longer. A heavy snowfall changed our plans so we had to extend our stay (lucky for us!) and Daniel made sure we were comfortable and safe: he gave us candles and torches when the power unexpectedly went out for a short while due to the storm, cleared snow from our deck (AND car windows), paths to both spas and the sauna, and plowed the road clear for our departure. Such a lovely and kind man. Oh, and about the spa by the river in the snow…just wow!!!

Amazing place! We just loved everything! The well equipped kitchen, the hot pot and sauna, the quietness, the Café and the surrounding. Don’t hesitate and just book it, you won’t regret it!

“Lovely stay for a family of 4”

Lovely place in such a beautiful and secluded location off the beaten path, but a short drive from Hofsós. Great value for families and the house was very well kept and clean. We did not have time to try the hot tub at the river but the one near the cabins was very nice after a long day of driving. The owners were lovely and all communication was smooth. Would have loved to stay longer!

“The best experience in Iceland!”

Out of our whole trip to Iceland, Dalasetur was the highlight! We took the advantage of an overnight on our cruise ship docked in Akureyri and drove to Hofsos to stay here. Best decision we made! From gorgeous panoramic views, to a beautifully designed cabin, it was all beyond amazing. We had the best sleep in the fabulous bed! The host Daniel was lovely! He was extremely helpful, professional and his knowledge of the area and story just added so much to the experience! We were able to try some wonderful bakery items made onsite by Daniel’s partner which tasted amazing! If you have the chance, please stay here and experience this wonderful place for yourself!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. Big beautiful cabin, beautiful surroundings, lovely hosts, cute dog. And don't let me start about the Hot Tub next to the river. I'll be back!

Dalaestur is set in a fabulous location. The property was so well equipped with everything you need for a stay. We really wished we could have stayed longer but as this was our first trip to Iceland we were trying to see as much of the country as possible. We will definitely look at staying longer next time and explore more of Northern Iceland.

Amazing , the lay out is perfect, incredibly comfortable and cosy . The bedding is top quality and the beds really comfortable. We stayed after Dalasetur 2 more places that were more expensive yet not anywhere as comfortable and well planned out as Dalasetur. The hosts were lovely guys incredibly helpful and kind . There’s so much to do in that area you need at least a few days to stay there . The large hot tub by the river is an amazing experience . We have already booked for a week for next year . It’s a mind blowing destination of beauty and comfort don’t miss out on staying here

We had an incredible time in Dalasetur. We had decided to stay for 13 nights in a row because everything looked so nice on the internet. We didn't regret it as it was even more beautiful in reality. The cabins are very cosy, lovingly furnished (but without a closet), and the soft sound of the stream behind the house and the view towards the nearby fjord make the stay a totally relaxing experience. After expeditions in the vicinity, you can enjoy the small sauna with a warm outdoor shower or hot pot adjacent to the cabins. There is another hot pot at the river side, where you can sit in the warm water while watching the wild stream and the surrounding green mountains with patches of snow on their tops. Alternatively, it is worth switching between the hot pot and the creek of melted ice water - you will feel like a new person! And don't worry if you lose something in the torrential stream - it will reappear a few kilometers further on in the fjord at Hofsós. I involuntarily tried it with my left flip-flop - it worked! When the weather is bad, or if you want a day off activities, you can watch films or series for free via Netflix or Disney. This place has a special power, which continues working after leaving. The hosts, Daniel and Stefan, are very friendly and helpful, always willing to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Stefan's cakes and other pastries served at the nearby Dala Kaffi are delicious, as are Daniel’s soups. Daniel is also an excellent disc golf player - try him, it's fun! As is Yogi, the dog-manager (-: All in all, Dalasetur’s slogan "Come as a guest, leave as a friend" proved true for us, and it certainly won't be our last stay in Dalasetur! Katja & Daniel

“A comfortable and well-hosted home nestled in Icelandic nature.”

It is an awesome and cozy place, beautifully arranged by the friendly hosts. The guesthouse, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, gives the impression of being immersed in Icelandic nature, even while having breakfast inside.
