“Amazing views and wildlife from the comfort of a beautiful clean home”

Wow, wow, wow. We spent our 4th and 5th nights in South Africa at this property and we were blown away. The check in procedure was very easy - we were contacted by George prior to arrival and he and Susan met us at the entrance gate to the estate. On our way round to the house they pointed out a mother giraffe with her baby just a few metres from the road, which was such a nice start to the stay. On arrival at the house George showed us how to download the loadshedding app for our phones so we could plan our days/evenings around the blackouts, and showed us where the backup lighting was (which was very handy). We met Constance the housekeeper who lives discretely in a separate building and bless her, she washed our dishes for us when we went out for the day and kept everything lovely and clean. The weather was overcast on our first day but when we awoke the following morning the sun was out and there was the most beautiful view of the mountains from our bedroom windows, and the pool looked sparkling clean in the sunlight...so beautiful! We enjoyed eating on the verandah at the most gorgeous wooden table and chairs and we were brave and even had a dip in the pool...bit chilly but we couldn't resist. Just before sundown we were treated to the most amazing sight - a giraffe just wandered down the driveway and stood looking at us for ages! We then realised that there was a whole herd of them right behind the house munching away at the trees. We counted 7 in total. So lucky! We ate twice at the Blue Mountain restaurant on site which has a gorgeous terrace with fairylights and roaring log fires for chilly winter evenings and the food was delicious and well presented. During the day there is also a fabulous view of the mountains. Take a torch with you if you go in the evenings during loadshedding as the carpark is pitch dark. All in all a wonderful stay, amazing location and great for exploring the Hoedspruit area, Panorama Route, and Kruger's Orpen Gate.

The view from the backyard was amazing! We saw lots of animals and even ran into four giraffe along the driving path. Amazing.....

What a beautiful location! Lovely space, amazing view, everything was clean and comfortable. Animals roam right passed the house all day.
