Cathy is a wonderful host, and a dear soul. Bonus for me was seeing Zebra on arrival (my welcoming party), Impala coming back from dinner, duikers, and got a send-off from a family of wharthogs.

This property is an excellent find - situated near the heart of Hoedspruit and yet in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful corner of a leafy estate. Warm and attentive staff and a delight of an owner. Great value for money!

“Wonderful lodge in a quiet wildlife estate with friendly hosts and everything you need”
Cathy was a friendly and helpful host who immediately made us feel at home. The accommodation is fantastic: spacious rooms, a well-equipped kitchen with everything you might need, a great bathroom with a modern shower, stable WiFi and a lovely terrace where you can spot wildlife while enjoying your morning coffee. The lodge is located inside a peaceful wildlife estate, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Shops for groceries and daily essentials are just a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend Mawusi Bush Lodge!

A beautiful lodge set in the heart of the Hoedspruit wildlife estate. Clean, comfortable and very quiet. Tv and wifi if you need it but you could sit outside and watch giraffes, warthogs, duikers, nyalas, kudus and other wildlife walk by or stop for a drink at the small water source.Cathy was so kind and helpful and a great host not overly attentive but there when needed. Hoedspruit town center is minutes away with lots of bars and restaurants but our room had facilities to cook if needed. We will definately use again!

“The perfect place to stay in Hoedspruit”
Cathy is the sweetest host and was very welcoming and caring. I stayed at Mawusi for 2 nights and it was perfect. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is everything you need for a great stay in Hoedspruit. I will definitely recommend this place around me and will book again when I’m back in town. The owner welcomed me and said I may make myself at home, which I did! Every request I made was attended to promptly (e.g. a towel for the pool). I have friends close-by who walked over for a visit, and the open lounge area with a ceiling fan was very comfortable. Something that I particularly appreciated: I could sit outside at any time of day without having to sit in direct sun, there are chairs and lounge chairs available in the sun and in the shade. I made extensive use of the free wifi for online work and it was fast & reliable. THANK YOU Cathy and Nono for your kindness!

Cathy was so helpful and friendly. I booked and arrived last minute and she made me feel very at home. The accommodation is lovely and comfortable and it is set in a quiet place on the wildlife estate. It was superb and good value.
