Everything was really good! Nice meals, nice personal and our guide (Rudolph) was really nice and patient with us, explaining everything through all the game rides!

Location is very authentic and super maintained. The dinner room is fantastic. We had fantastic game drives in very small groups; well guided and we saw a lot of animals. And staff was incredible botje the ranger as the manager and the staff in the dining room. A wonderful stay.

I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding my booking at Elandela Private Game Reserve and Luxury Lodges Pty Ltd and request that Booking.com investigate this matter and consider appropriate compensation. This booking was made for a special anniversary occasion for my wife and me. I selected the property based on how it was presented on the Booking.com platform, where it appeared to offer a quality, inclusive, luxury-style experience at a fair price. Unfortunately, the actual experience on arrival was so disappointing and uncomfortable that we left within less than an hour and did not stay. The property presentation online created expectations that were not met in reality. One of the most concerning issues was the confusion and apparent misrepresentation around what was included. The booking gave the impression that the stay was inclusive, yet on arrival we were informed that for beverages only water was included and everything else had to be paid for separately. We do not drink alcohol, so this was not about wanting extras, but about the lack of clarity and the mismatch between the listing and the actual offering. A further issue arose at lunch. We were told that the only meal available was pie. When I asked what the alternative was if I did not want pie, I was simply told that they have pie. This response was dismissive and fell far below the level of hospitality one would reasonably expect from a property marketed in this way. We were also informed immediately upon entering the room that everything in the minibar fridge would be charged for, except the fresh milk and coffee condiments. Again, this added to the sense that the actual experience was very different from what had been presented when booking. This was not a complaint about price. I knowingly chose a property at this rate because I was willing to pay for a good experience. The issue is that the service, communication, and overall hospitality did not align with what was advertised.

Everythins was perfect

This property was unique. It had a large water hole right outside the pool. Surprisingly, crocodiles frequented this! It was a bit scary at first but the advice of us being too big for them to be interested in us was a relief! Then we were able to appreciate having them in such close proximity to enjoy the experience! There were watered areas near the accommodation which attracted animals like Zebra, wart hog, dear and other animals within metres of the path. Giraffe visited. The property has semi dependant rhinos nearby the accommodation too. Our lodge backed onto a river down below where there were always animals to view. Our room was delightful and beautifully decorated. The food and services from staff were outstanding!! Delicious meals and super friendly staff. The staff really made our stay so memorable. Including our safari guides. So knowledgeable and they sincerely want to give you the best experience they possibly can. I got teary when it was time to leave…. It was such a beautiful, memorable experience with I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The lodge is situated in a beautiful setting within the private game reserve. The car is parked near your room. The rooms are large and comfortable, though it's a bit of a shame that the room with the twin beds has a large bathtub, while the room with the double bed has a shower. The bedroom with the twin beds is adjacent to the other bedroom, separated by a glass door and curtain. It overlooks the river. And at night, you can hear the animals. The staff is very friendly, and the food is excellent. Sometimes it's a bit too gourmet for our liking. The two included game drives were enjoyable but sometimes a bit boring because we didn't go off-road and didn't drive very fast. However, we did see beautiful animals like white lions, rhinos, and jackals. The service at the lodge is superb. Everything is impeccable.

Everything was perfect. Staff, location, food , amenities. The game reserve drives were amazing,our drivers Simon and Joseph where the best. They are knowledgeable and ther were excited as much as us when we see animals. Tried they’re best to find leopards and we definitely did on our last night and we all were pumped about it especially getting ti see all the big 5.Francisco the host was also truly wonderful. Always checking on us and having conversations and saying his side of what he thinks is best

We had a stay we'll never forget at Elandela! The staff were amazing – warm, friendly and always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Special thanks to Francisco, Christopher and our game driver Simon, who made the experience truly memorable. The rooms were spacious, very clean, with comfortable beds – and the view from our room was incredible. We could watch hippos and crocodiles in the water, and even saw zebra, impala and warthogs coming down to drink at the lake, with baboons in the gardens at times. The wildlife sightings on the game drives far exceeded our expectations. The drives were well organised, tailored to guests’ needs, and the guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights along the way about tracking as well as animal behaviour. We were incredibly lucky and saw the 'big 5' in our first two game drives. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Staff was friendly and attentive. The location is excellent and the wildlife incredible (BIG 5!!). The guide taking you on the game drives are super experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining.
