1. Lovely old-fashioned lodge, with the feeling of being on safari. 2. Sufficiently large garden and bush for strolls, birdwatching, enjoying the natural surroundings. 3. Comfortable, well-equipped accommodation (not in main lodge) away from noise. 4. Good breakfast and supper.

The lodge is a huge fenced property with zebras and monkeys walking around. The reception area with the restaurant is simply amazing.

What a marvellous, hidden gem. Our booking was made at the last minute and we could not have been more delighted with everything the hotel had to offer, it being ideally located to experience all that the Blyde River Canyon has to offer. The staff went out of the way to make sure we wanted for nothing, and I would recommend it unreservedly.

The room was very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was great, from the description on Booking I didn’t know if there would be a dinner possible at the lodge,but they offered a 3- course dinner, which was good value for money and delicious. The breakfast was great too. The lodge is very close to the departure of the boat ride on the Blyde river Dam. On deparure, our car had been washed😃

We had a nice room just by the reception, not very big but adequate. Staff was nice, the property was nice and the set dinner was nice. Dinner had to be booked in advance.

What an awesome place, would have loved to have stayed longer. Saw zebra on the lawn while having a wine. Apartment was beautiful, clean and well equipped. 3 course meal was a set meal but was amazing, highly recommend.

The property name and the photos let you to believe that the property is on Blyde river canyon when they are located in the bush near Hoedspruit lost at the end of a bad road. They say they are a four star but they have no service! We arrived at 18:30 PM. The place was not well lighten and not welcoming. We were ask to fill the forms and we had to decide if we wanted to have dinner and breakfast right away. Then they used there car to bring us to the bungalow and gave us very little info on facilities. Then they asked me to move my car for them to drive off when I was dealing with my luggage, no help for luggage’s and I needed to move my car first and then deal alone with the luggage’s. We had to rush and did not had time to refresh as there is one set menu and only one service at 7PM for dinner. No cell connection and very poor wifi. Our bungalow in the “resort” was just along a highway so you hear traffic all night long and not the African sounds of the bush. The air conditioning was not working and I had to sort it out because no one could help. So I won’t make the mistake of coming back there ever.
