It is far from everything. Quiet, in the bush. Food is very good and the staff friendly. There are many bird species and plenty of animals.

“Top notch Lodge 👌”

After 1.5 weeks of sleeping in our Roof Top tent in Mabuasehube and Kgalagadi and driving 300 km on the way to North West Namibia, our stop over at the Camel Thorn Lodge was a godsend. What a warm welcome by the team, great room (little cottage) and above all a super dinner (by far the best so far during our trip in Africa). Reward yourself and book this Lodge, top notch place to stay.

Wonderful place, comfortable and clean cottages in the middle of nature, very nice dining place and delicious food, friendly staff. We stayed two nights and had a full day for bushman walk in the morning and safari in the evening, both not to be missed. At lunch, relax by the pool, walks in the area, observe the animals that come to the place with food from the immediate vicinity. It was perfect at the beginning of the vacation, after a long flight. A 4*4 car is advisable for the 7 beautiful kilometers inside the reservation.

Seth, Sebastian, everybody was so so kind. And i slept amazing too, quite important. Not only the good bed, the hot shower but even more so the surroundings and oryx and other animals made it unforgettable. We even saw zebras on the way to the lodge and gnoes on the way out. Highly recommend for starting or ending your roadtrip through Namibia

“Pleasant stay and good memories”

100% worth a visit. Comfortable houses with all the amenities. Beautiful park area (private and guarded). Dinner under the stars, breakfast on the terrace with nice views. The food was tasty and made with love. I really recommend the game drive. We saw rhinos, giraffes, ostriches, springboks, oryx, antelopes, squirrels. Our guide Bertus was joyful and professional. Amazing sundowner in Kalahari desert. Small groups (6-8 people). Very calm and quiet place for sleeping. The sky at night was full of stars. It took my breath away :) Would come back anytime again.

Nice location, observing the animals from the cabin was fun. The cabins are spacious and comfortable. You have a lot of privacy. The Game Drive with Bertus was a great experience! Highly recommended! Nice atmosphere with outdoor fire for dinner.

“Fantastic location with superb staff”

We were met with a drink and hot towel after the long drive in - felt like royalty ! Our room was clean and very comfortable. It looked out across the Kalahari desert from where we spotted plenty of wildlife. The breakfast was great and the evening meal was superb - the staff really went out of their way to make the most delicious vegetarian dinner for us😊 The staff are super helpful and friendly. The pool area is great to relax around. Loved the complimentary Bushman’s walk in the morning- really interesting and would highly recommend. The sundowner tour in the evening was fab- we saw giraffes, oryx, rhinos, fox, vulture… and the drinks while watching the sunset was the icing on the cake. Bertus was a brilliant guide.

“Unforgettable experience at Kalahari”

Amazing lodge located in a private game reserve. The chalets are very clean and comfortable and we saw a lot of Springboks right in front of our door. They have a lovely pool where you can relax, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The highlight for us was the sunset game drive in the Kalahari desert organized by the lodge. We saw a lot of animals, our guide explained us everything about Kalahari and at the end we watched the sunset from the dunes with some drinks and snacks. An amazing experience that we will remember for a long time! We are now at the end of our 2 weeks Namibia trip and it was one of our favorite destinations.

the lodge is beautifully situated in the Kalahari Desert Preferably accessible with a 4X4 breakfast and dinner are good but basic The morning walk with the San and guided by Bertus are an abosolute added value We also opted for a sundowner game drive with Bertus. If we only had to rate Bertus, we would without a doubt have scored a 10
