“Peaceful stay in gorgeous countryside.”
Located just off the main road (easy to drive in and out of, and free parking), it’s a very peaceful and serene hotel. The tatami rooms were so spacious, clean, and had excellent views for the mountains and river. The staff were so lovely (especially Junko, who makes this such a welcoming space). And the location was great - not many shops nearby (very grateful there was a mini bar with beer in the room), but close to so many beautiful sites (shrines, rivers, waterfalls, etc).

Ukiha is a happy place to stay. The owner and staff were generous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There was an elegance in every aspect. A very traditional Japanese experience for us. The food in our own dining area was excellent.

“Pleasant stay”
The dinner is good, breakfast not my style to eat rice in the morning and drink green tea, onsen is ok, very standard, we encounter problem when input the hotel address, it bought us to an residential area two hours away, I have to knock at someone door for help to call the hotel and input for us the address, cos the rental car GPS is all in Japanese, lucky we managed to find the hotel before 9pm and still get dinner.
