everything was great. a little quirkier than expected, but still clean and staff were very sweet. Breakfast was good. the area was great also, it's an easy town to walk through.

Beautiful location beside the mighty river and easy walking distance to delicious unagi restaurant. Quirky themed floors eg Einstein, Audrey Hepburn, Beatles. Very helpful staff. Great onsen onsite- indoor, outdoor and plunge pool. Lovely breakfast.

“Exceeded expectations, great facilities, beautiful view of the river!”

The hotel exceeded my expectations! The facilities were superb in terms of a play room, onsen and even free massage chairs in the common area! Room-wise, we loved the room as it was spacious and ours overlooked the river, which had a mesmerizing view of the mountains. It rained on our last day and the mountains were just surrounded by fog. Beautiful. We had a third person so they provided futon, which was just as comfy! Overall, loved our room - we wish we could have stayed longer! Also, it's around a 15-min walk from the Hita station, just a straight road ahead from it. A few izakayas around and a 7E is about a 10-min walk from the hotel.

A lovely room with a nice view overlooking the river. We got an outdoor private bath in the balcony of the room and enjoyed the experience. The hotel is located next to an unagi restaurant which is the best ever! Along the streets there are also nice joints for yakitori or izzakaya. And we were delighted to be able to head straight out from the lobby for a walk along the river to enjoy sunset. Their breakfast set was also delicious. Free and easy parking at the hotel was great too!

“Amazing service and exceptional interaction with hotel concierge”

I was greeted with kindness and sweetness. Everyone that welcomed me was nothing but amazing. I was offered a free upgrade for my guest did not show up. I was also offered breakfast. I was really happy that Kiyomi, one of the concierge, spoke to me and also offered a lot of restaurant recommendations. Everyone at the vicinity was so nice. The room was beautiful with a breathtaking view. The sauna was also very relaxing and is half in door and half outdoors. I loved it. Not only that but I had to leave early. The hotel gave me refund for the last day! I have never had that before. Where the hotel not only did not charge me but refunded me even though I had a booking. Exceptional. Everything. I would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here, this is definitely one of my favorite places to stay! The staff were so kind and helpful, and the hotel was in a great location with a beautiful view. The breakfast was great and I really enjoyed all the suggestions for local restaurants and activities. If I was in the area again I would stay here again!

My room got upgraded for free (without asking) and when I left and asked how much a taxi is to the station they immediately offered to drive me there for free. Best stay during my 4 weeks in Japan!

“Unique hotel with incredible views and very comfortable beds”

I had the best sleep on my 3 week trip to Japan where hard beds are the norm. These beds had a bit more spring and the room provided a quiet, dark space to spread out. The staff was friendly and kind, even gave me a ride to the bus station. I also enjoyed the free homemade cookies and the massage chair. Breakfast was included and different from the usual fare. I would stay here again for longer.
