The family-run Munchs Badehotel is situated on the beachfront by the Skagerrak Sea. It offers a sauna, hot tub and a traditional Danish restaurant featuring a terrace with sea views. Munchs Badehotel’s rooms have carpeted floors, large beds and a private bathroom. All feature a private balcony or terrace. A buffet breakfast and packed lunches are available every morning. A grocery store and a bar are also found on site. The North Sea Aquarium and the town of Hirtshals are both within 10 minutes’ drive from Badehotel Munchs. Parking is free on site.

The nicest place we've stayed in for a very long time! Old (historical) hotel managed by an extremely friendly family and staff. Lovely cosy little bungalows. Great location a few meters away from the sea. Little shop and restaurant next to it. We absolutely loved everything! Next time we'll stay one week :-)

The room is spacious, clean and very cosy. Has the front terrase and back side balcony, which is very nice. Has great location next to the beach!! Food store is on the site, very convenient. Nice dinner at the restaurant, tasty food, quick service for daily menu. Many thanks to the hotel owners))

“A perfect place to rest and enjoy the seaside”
A delightful chalet, full of sunshine, moments from the restaurant and from the beach, with its crashing North Sea breakers. Friendly staff, great fish and chips, and a real experience of the seaside.

Super cozy and comfortable, you can walk all the way from Hirtshals Lighthouse to the hotel on the beach. We walked from the ferry and it was about a 1.5 hour walk.

“just a lovely place”
friendly staff, beautiful little cottage, nicely decorated, big and comfy bed, spacious bathroom, just a few dozen meters to the beach, loved every minute of our stay there; payed a little extra for the breakfast which was totally worth it; at the hotel building itself there also is a small convenience store, very useful

“Lovely and calm place”
We spent one night at the Munch Hotel and found it to be a very lovely and calm place. We were pleasantly surprised by the serene and natural environment. We highly recommend this hotel as well as the breakfast, which was very good. We slept very well and hope to return one day.

“Clean and comfortable”
Easy to find. Close to the Ferry to travel to Norway. Quiet location. room had everything we needed. Breakfast was great

They were very kind and accomodatin. When our ferry got cancelled they were quick to find the solutions and accomidating our needs, even though we arrived after midnight and had to already leave before 6AM on a sunday. Kind, nice , helpful people.

The view was good from the room. The place was clean and well equipped. Very friendly owner and had a shop onsite that was open late and early hours. Would stay here again.

“Very relaxing especially after a long day driving. A pity we couldn’t stay longer than one night.”
The location was fantastic - right by the beach and the famous sand dunes. If it wasn’t too windy and warm you could sit out on the balcony and watch the sunset.
