Overview
Hotel Strandlyst Badehotel, dating back to 1895, is located on the north-west coast of Jutland. The ferry terminal in Hirtshals is a 5-minute drive away, where you also find the North Sea Aquarium. Free on-site parking in available. All the rooms at Hotel Strandlyst Badehotel are individually decorated. All the rooms have a seating area and Private Bathrooms. In the tradition of the Danish “Badehotel” there are no TVs or radios in the rooms, however there is WiFi in all areas of the hotel. In the summer season you can enjoy your breakfast every day. The breakfast is based around locally sourced products. In the off season our rooms are rented without breakfast. And there is a terrace, where you can enjoy the sun, your breakfast or just a cup of coffee or a drink. Hotel staff can recommend area activities, such as hiking and cycling or a day at the beach. A 10-minute walk away is Tornby Beach. Aalborg and Frederikshavn are less than one hour away by car. In the summer, overnight guests can purchase dinner in advance, which can be enjoyed in the hotel's lounges or taken to the beach.

Not only is the hotel lovely with public spaces (terrace, lounge, garden) to enjoy, but we were given outstanding personal service in arranging transportation, making restaurant reservations, and generally reducing our level of stress. The breakfast was also very good.

Very peaceful and calming environment. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff members provided very great service and we felt super welcome. Definitely a stay we would recommend others! The shared area are lovely to play board games or read a book. Lots of outdoor area too where we could relax or play games. Very close to restaurants and beach too!

This is an exceptional hotel. The decor is exquisite - in the Danish style and the owners take real pride in getting the decor and furniture just right. The hotel is beautifully presented and the owner is extremely welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will be back - hopefully with other members of our car club. The hotel has the facilities to host car clubs.

“A nice stay outside the city with clean rooms and showers and a good breakfast.”
I had a nice stay at hotel Strandlyst. I was very late with checkin but they arranged that i could check in later and pay in the morning. The stay itself was good. the room was a bit hot but they left the room open to cool it down. The room itself was nice and clean and everything was there. the breakfast was very nice too
