“Perfect guesthouse”
Perfect guesthouse! Very clean and smart guesthouse - everything is perfect. I stayed here for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the Peace Memorial Park, including the A-dome and Museum. It’s also very easy to get from the guesthouse to Miyajima (around an hour door to door). There’s a common area on the ground floor with some entertainment on some of the nights. The laundry, kitchen and bathroom facilities are all very good. Highly recommended.

Very clean, quite spacious dorms, new towels every day for free, helpful staff. Quiet area but plenty of stuff around and close to the main attractions. There’s space to hang clothes to air dry in the balcony which I appreciated.

Close to everything and a short walk to peace park and in a quiet area the bed was comfy and the shower was excellent …staff are super cool I enjoyed my five days there amd was sorry to have to leave

Ironing appliances available on the first floor were a life saver. Having washing machines and dryers were too, I would have totally used it if I stayed for more days. Sinks (with hairdryer) and bathroom installed on both the mixed floor and women's dorm room sold this place for me. The kitchen was equipped with lots of utensils, even with a toaster and such. Everywhere is generally clean, and new towels provided everyday made me very grateful. The staff were fluent in English too, and the ones that handled us were all very nice and smiley 😊

The staff was so so sweet. They helped with public transport and recommended me actually good restaurant places. When I tried the local beer in the café they even checked if I liked it. And every morning when you would leave to the front door they were really nice and sweet or when you came back they asked how you're day was.

The staff was really really kind I've been to quite a lot of Hostels in Japan and this one stood really out. The staff was so interested in hearing about your day and actually listened and asked questions. I felt really welcomed!! Will be staying here again If I come back to Hiroshima

“Basic, Clean stay for short sight seeing trip”
Location was 15 walk from historical sites and 20 from shopping district. Convenient stores nearby. Bedlinen was clean and room/bathroom was clean. Perfect for one to two night stay.

“Very affordable, very friendly, and in a convenient location”
MangeTak was the most affordable place on my three-week trip, and previous excellent reviews convinced me to make the booking. I'd say it exceeded my expectations, largely because the manager was so friendly, and speaks excellent English, so my stay there turned out to be quite sociable despite the hostel itself being fairly quiet when I visited in late November. He also recommended an excellent okonomiyaki restaurant nearby (Ichiriki), so the local knowledge was very much appreciated! MangeTak itself has a great vibe (there's a cosy bar on the ground floor) and the bunk bed was comfortable (just don't forget to remove the sheets etc afterwards as I did - I blame forgetting on my relatively early start the next morning!). The location is very convenient too, with only a 10 minute walk to the Peace Memorial Park, and numerous shops and restaurants nearby.
