The accommodation is very spacious and beautifully built and decorated in a Japanese style. It is in a quiet area but within walking distance of the station. Breakfast was delicious - a variety of freshly prepared food. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming.

Room is very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Forgot two postcards in the room and they were waiting for me at the station with them… Definitely recommend it if you are staying in Hiraizumi. Wish I could come back every year!

Or stay here was wonderful, the superb tatami rooms were beautiful and spacious, the breakfasts were delicious and our hosts Kuniko & Hideo were soooo helpful and hospitable treating us like family

Second time I went do Yamadas House. That time during autumn season to Fujiwara clan Matsuri. It is always a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, a mix of traditional and technology, You must visit! Close to the station, you can walk to all main attractions of Hiraizumi. The omotenashi of Yamada's are incredible!
