“The best choice for a holiday in Hinterzarten”

Hotel Sonne Garni had spacious rooms with plenty of storage space and our room had a good sized balcony. The breakfast each morning got our day off to a great start with a wide range of cereals and cold foods, and selected hot foods made on request. We couldn't fault the service by staff and their attention to detail made us feel welcome and our stay feel special. The hotel is in a quiet location in Hinterzarten, but is only a short walking distance to shops and restaurants, and we were able to use the train to explore nearby towns. We were able to park our car free of charge on site.

You can really see the thought and attention to detail put into every part of the hotel, from the cozy rooms to the overall atmosphere. Warm and welcoming staff and a perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

“Perfect in every way”

Amazing hotel in a lovely area, immaculate in every way. Room was perfect with balcony and view. Substantial and varied breakfast, all fresh and with eggs cooked to order. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Individual parking garage was a lovely surprise and easily accessed. Will definitely return when in the area again.

Exceptional breakfast and the private sauna was very special and perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. Kind and helpful staff.

My room was beautiful with a lovely outlook and everything I needed. The owners were lovely and very accommodating for my need for early breakfasts due to my schedule. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very close to the train station while being very quiet. I would absolutely stay there again.

“Right place to return!”

Literally I really like a lot it when business owners think about the "little details" in their accommodation places and this is the case! The property is very cozy. Very comfortable beds and great breakfast. The breakfast table is reserved for each person using a personalized sign. The staff was very kind to help us find the nearest ski resort.

great host, cosy family-run hotel. the room is nicely decorated and very clean, the breakfast buffet was excellent. the location is super, as it’s only a few minutes away from the train station. if I were to come back to Hinterzarten in the future, I would definitely come back to this hotel.

This Hotel was amazing. The people were so welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect in this beautiful town. It is just around the corner from the train station and close to anything you might need in this lovely place. I highly recommend Sonne Garni. The room was stunning, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with a big selection. I loved my stay in Hinterzarten and Sonne Garni was the cherry on the top. I cannot wait to return. If you are lucky to visit Hinterzarten, stay at Hotel Sonne Garni.
