I've stayed in this hotel twice and would return again. The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean and the beds are comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and found the portions generous and the staff accommodating and lovely. There's lots of space in the parking lot. If you find yourself in the area and are looking for a place to rest, I'd recommend the Landgasthaus am Frauenstein.

Having stayed here for 30 years now, it is still good to know that standards are as high as ever. Food is excellent, rooms are comfortable. Recommend the steaks, I have never had better! The trout is good as well. Looking forward to our return visit in 2 weeks time on return journey.

“Great overnight stop”

Straightforward hotel for a night's stay. It's quirky, which we like. Food in the evening was hearty, and breakfast was well above standard. Location is on our route and near the road, but the room was silent.

No one was available to provide breakfast until after 08:00 The choice of breakfast was poor. I have previously visited this place and it used to have a very good breakfast selection and service The meal in the evening in the restaurant was ok The location is convenient

Very comfortable nights sleep after a long drive. Hotel is situated on a main road and easily accessed. Great breakfast. Staff were very pleasant.

The dinner menu is tasty, simple German food and is good value. Breakfast is ample - if leave hungry it's your fault, not theirs! There's a path to woods behind the property which are excellent for dog walking. Comfortable room with ample hot water/pressure in the shower. The heating was on as well. The rooms are reasonably soundproof - I normally wake up several time a night and it was no different here.

Handy on the side of the road when travelling. The flip side of this there was some road noise. The food was excellent, and a good and plentiful selection at breakfast.
