Our stay at Moodhu Guest House was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The rooms were clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere to return to after a day in the sun. The location is perfect. It is conveniently close to the jetty, making arrivals and departures seamless. It is also just a short walk away from local shops, great restaurants, and souvenir boutiques, so everything you need is right at your doorstep. The guest house has several activities, we took a sandbank trip, a fishing excursion, and a delicious BBQ dinner. While these were paid extras, they were worth every penny. Each event was arranged perfectly with great attention to detail. The absolute highlight of our trip was Jabir, who accompanied us on our excursion. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and reliable. Having someone so professional and friendly made us feel safe and well-looked after. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible - he is the best! If you are looking for a place that combines local charm with professional service, Moodhu is the place to be. We left with amazing memories and can’t wait to come back.

I had a pleasant stay at Moodhu Surf House in Himmafushi. The guesthouse was clean, quiet, and had a relaxing island atmosphere. Although I didn’t go surfing, I still enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the warm hospitality. It’s a good choice for anyone looking for a simple and comfortable place to stay on the island.

Good location, quite close to the bikini beach, bedroom clean and quite nice / okay

I loved staff there and how helpful they were, including Bill, the owner. Food was delicious thanks to Riaz. Whole object clean and quiet. Very helpful was air condition in the room, thanks to that we could come from outside and chill a little before going again. This is perfect place for you to stay if you don't expect luxurious and overpaid place! Food is amazing, you know you won't be hungry at all. Bill was very helpful with entertaining us. First he shew us the whole island, was very helpful. Always took care of us. Guys were also excellent company for evenings to sit in kitchen and just talk. I can just recommend. You feel like you visit your family, not someone's business. Very good place, with very good price, and very good people.

“Waves yes, no waves no”

Came here to surf, but unfortunately no waves. Not much to do on this island otherwise. It’s a cozy little house, and the staff is helpfull.

The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Himmufushi is a small island, so Moodhu is close to all the facilities on the island. Bill was great. He showed us around the island and arranged trips. The food was good. We had different meals during our stay and access to tea/coffee making facilities in the kitchen. We also had a kettle in our room. The plug sockets were the same as the UK, so there is no need for adaptors. There was nothing we didn't like. Bill and his brothers plan to refurbish and are asking guests for their suggestions for improvements. They will incorporate some of the suggestions. We have suggested having a mini fridge in the room.

Bill is a great host, he‘s very responsive and helps quickly in any matter. He helped me organize a transport from Male to the island and he also organized boats for our various surftrips. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean and big. The cleaning staff is very polite and I was offered to have my room cleaned several times during my 10day stay. Will come again for sure!

“Best guesthouse on Himmafushi”

Amazing location, right beside all of the restaurants and jetty and also 5/10 minute walk to jails where everyone on the island surfs from. Lovely staff, Bill the owner made our stay and sorted everything for us from surf board rental to excursions to our boat back to the mainland. Can’t wait to go back

“A great place to stay and relax on Himmafushi”

It’s a great guest house with everything you need. Close to the harbour, restaurants and access to the surf spot and beaches. Bill was very helpful, responsive and he organised all the transport I needed. Definitely recommended.

The owner Bill and his partner was very nice and helpful with teaching us about the island and the Maldives and so much more! The food was great and so many good things to do here.
