We had very enjoyable time at the Jailbreak inn. The manager Amin was very helpful with the info to get the island. Public ferry is very convenient and cheap way to get the island.Bangladesh guys were so helpful, hospitable to meet us at the port on arrival and helped with luggage on departure. The meal was different and delicious every day. My 3.5 years old son ate breakfast, lunch and dinner with a pleasure, and that is a good sign. Home like meal and home like stay in general. We had lovely boat trips with Anthony and Niyaz to Sand bank, some snorkeling, to Hurrah island, it has a very beautiful beach. And the most exciting was seeing dolphins in the ocean. It was marvellous, we were so lucky Mashallah! The room on second floor was nice, clean, good shower, ventilator, conditioner, comfortable beds. WiFi was excellent! We fell in love with Himmafushi! Natural bird sounds in the early mornings were so good to wake up.

This inn is more like a homestay provided with very basic facilities including a simple breakfast. The main reason I chose this homestay is primarily because the owner provides complimentary snorkeling or island trip every morning. It is highly recommend for the budget travellers. The owner provided a free welcome dinner for our stay and he is very helpful in meeting our needs.

The room is basic but big and clean with hot water and AC. Some booking reviews said that the beds are hard, they are but trust me you’ll sleep like a baby, they’re very confortable.Even though maybe you’ll see nicer rooms at other hotels in same price range , they compensate with daily free boat trips on wonderful places. We went sand banks and snorkeling ant was very fun. Also the owner is a very good and helpful man .I highly recommend this accomodation, i would deffinetly come back.

So, you dont come to this place for 5 star room facilities. You come for surfing. And for that everything was good. Beds were comfortable, food fresh and plentiful, staff super helpful. I loved the outdoor eating set-up - met loads of surfers from all over the world. Loved the boat staff - and I didnt realise you got boat trips to the spots daily - that was really appreciated and a total bonus.

Great place to stay during your surf trip, had amazing time. Simple furnished but spacious room, good breakfast, daily boat trips to surf spots, located close to harbour and restaurants, helpful staff, easy check in and out

We had a fantastic stay at Jail Break, Amin and the crew were great and made us feel so at home. The room had everything we need and the meals were delicious. Amin went above and beyond to help us arrange activities and trips and it was great to have the boat trips to the surf breaks included. Thank you so much for a memorable week!

“Amazing! Kind people, amazing place”

Staff were very helpful and hospitable. The free breakfast fuelled you for the included morning surf boat. All we did was surf surf surf and this Joseph was perfect for this. You could also add an afternoon boat for only 10 usd. If you wanted to surf before, between or after, jail break is only a 5 minute easy walk and a sharp paddle out. If you are there to surf I would recommend this place. It has what you need.

You meet a lot of nice likeminded people there as everyone is there to surf. The accommodation is basic but provides what you need. 1 boat trip to the surf and breakfast, for an extra charge you can add lunch and dinner too. Amin is such a nice guy, he will be always there to help you.

“Great stay for surfing”

Jailbreak Inn is the best budget place to visit in the Maldives for surfing, vibes, meeting people from around the world and doing day trips for snorkelling, fishing and visiting other Islands. We stayed for 6 nights and had lots of great waves, made friends and did fishing, swimming with stingrays and a full day trip to thulusdhoo with friends we made at the Inn. Everyday you get a surf trip included, and then ypu can choose to pay for another one in the afternoon orndo another excusion. I would highly recommend Jailbreak if you are keen to experience somewhere authentic in the Maldvies that is not just the postcard resort Islands you always see being promoted. There is so much more to it, and you get that here. This family owned place is so sweet. You can choose to have breakfast, lunch and dinner included. We did breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is very basic, and the dinner was usually rice, pasta, salad or potatoes and tuna (so yummy!). Amine the owner is always happy to help organise trips for you on whatsapp. He is cool and his young daughter is also very happy to chat! I want to go back already and If I ever go back to maldives, this is where it will be. Don't expect 4 star, this is basic accomodation, bring your own soap and soak in all there is to Himmafushi!
