Re-opened in December 2014 after a thorough renovation, Castle Grandvrio Hotel is a 5-minute ride from JR Himeji Train Station on the free shuttle. It boasts public hot spring baths, hot tubs and relaxing massage services. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The simply furnished rooms at Himeji Castle Grandvrio Hotel offer a satellite TV and tea maker. All rooms are air-conditioned, and the en suite bathroom comes with a bathtub and shower. Very outdated rooms, centralized AC so could not adjust temperature. The room was so hot that I had to open a window during winter time to sleep

“Good hotel with added bonus onsen”
This hotel was good for our one night stay. Car park was very close to the hotel so not far to take our bags. The room was clean and all amenities available. The staff were helpful and polite. It has a great little shop in the foyer where we could buy extra food/drinks. The on site onsen was good and once we got to understand the layout of things enjoyable. Not much in the way of english signage so a bit hit and miss as to the protocol.

“Lovely hotel a 10 minute stroll from the station !”
We only stayed one night but it as very comfortable. The hotel had an onsen which my wife took full advantage of as it was free to use . The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. WiFi was good and the facilities were good too. On a personal note I was extremely grateful to the staff who kindly forwarded my glasses (I’d left them behind) to our next hotel and at no extra charge. Excellent customer service. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Himeji.

Everyone should try the onsen and the shampoo station. They are the best. The location is very convenient. Very close to Himeji castle. And the staff, they are very helpful and friendly.
