We had an amazing time at Philoxenia. Alexa, our host was extremely friendly and helpful and the communication with her before, during and after the stay was fantastic. The villa was very comfortable with great facilities and the check in process was seamless. Alexa also very kindly offered us great local recommendations, brought us some local produce and even offered lifts into town if needed.

Philoxenia guest house is accommodation of high quality. Fixtures and furnishings all new in 2022. Beds are comfortable, all double bedrooms (3) are spacious with a/c and wardrobes. One is ensuite. The twin room is smaller with just a fan, a clothes rail and bedside cabinet. There is a good sized family bathroom and a laundry/shower/wc. The open plan kitchen-dining-lounge is generously sized with a/c. The sofa is good for 5 people but not more, however the dining chairs can supplement easily. There is no dishwasher but otherwise the kitchen is well stocked and the host generously gave some homegrown produce. We only used the facilities for breakfast but enjoyed using the equipment for this small task and also being able to dine alfresco on the veranda. This outdoor space is large, wrapping around the first floor, and comfortable with a rattan set and useful with an airer. Windows and patio doors all have mosquito netting and shutters for letting in the breeze or keeping the sun out. Secure parking is available. We only stayed 3 nights but I feel I could have lived here for a month. Alexa was a lovely host with local knowledge and keen to help. We walked to the ruined castle one evening and would recommend this outing with a stop at the butterfly café for refreshments/food. There is also a restaurant within 5 mins walking distance of the guest house for simple fare. Himare front is 7 mins by car. Livadhi beach is probably a bit closer and nicer IMHO. In all we were very impressed with the Albanian Riviera. Water clarity and snorkelling are amazing.
