“Wonderful little place”
The location is great, peaceful and quiet. Anna is so friendly. They have five spacious rooms with your own little seating area outside. Plus a communal kitchen and plenty of seating areas in the surrounding garden. Each room has AC for cooling and heating and a nice shower. To get there just follow the signs promar apartments from the ring road and a little bit further you will find this little oasis ❤️

The hotel can be a bit difficult to find, and having a car or your own transport is definitely recommended. That said, it is absolutely worth the effort, and we received excellent directions from Anna beforehand. The place itself is incredibly cozy and thoughtfully designed, with great attention to detail. It feels unique and personal, especially knowing that it has been beautifully crafted by Thimios himself. The garden is lovely and inviting, with plenty of comfortable seating areas where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We really appreciated the calm atmosphere and the charm of the place. We stayed for two nights, but it would have been easy to spend even longer there. Breakfast was also very good and a great way to start the day.

“A little gem in the hills above Himare”
Filoxenia is like no other place I have stayed before and its rustic charm is enhanced by the lovely Ana who keeps the place running. Read the reviews and you will see that most people love it - it has an easy vibe that puts you firmly in holiday mode. If you are after glitz and sophistication this is not the place for you, but the photos should make that clear. They cook meals for you, will do laundry and you can even have a massage, nail treatments etc. Enjoy the ancient olive trees around you too!

“Great rooms in the mountains, close to the town”
Great rooms, very cozy and well equipped. The location is also very nice and relaxing, in the mountains and a short 15min walk from the city and very close to plenty of nice beaches. You feel nicely secluded and are surrounded by goats and olive trees. The air is even a bit cooler which is nice. Staff is kind and accommodating, sharing local recommendations and providing plenty of services and products. The rooms have AC and a nice shower. Everything is stone and they stay pretty cool even during the hot summer days. We loved our time here.

To start, the hosts are great. The atmosphere is something that calms you with a farm/homestead vibe. I recommend ordering the dinner and breakfast as they are well worth the money. Their own wine is tasty as well. I really recommend this place for at least two nights (we stayed for one and regretted not being able to book another). The room is really nice: we had a separate little shack for ourselves.

Ana prepared a beautiful breakfast and I was also able to purchase some of their homemade olive oil. I loved that Filoxenia is slightly further from the main town and it’s a beautiful place with beautiful surroundings.
