Overview
Featuring a courtyard garden with an outdoor pool, Brackens Guest House offers rooms with private entrances opening out onto the veranda. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are provided. The rooms are bright and contain TVs with satellite channels and minibars. Some of the rooms contain sofa beds and all contain a private bathroom. The triple room offers a small private courtyard. A fresh breakfast is served daily and in warm weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. The front desk can recommend one of the local restaurants within 2 km of the guest house. Located on the edge of Durban, it is only a 30-minute drive to the beaches, Shongweni Dam and Inanda Dam. Cotswold Downs Golf & Country Estate is an 8-minute drive. Brackens Guest House is situated in Hillcrest and is a 2-minute walk from the Old Main Road and the Hillcrest Train Station.

“Perfect Location for Hillcrest Marathon Race”
Location was perfect for our stay, it was within walking distance to the Hillcrest race start which is why we booked it. The Host was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We had a late check in and he waited for us. We were also able to come back and have breakfast after the race.

“Very welcoming and comfy stay.”
Fantastic and very welcoming hosts.. Best towels of any guesthouse I have stayed at. Gas geyser's in place so no loadshedding effect. Overall a very comfortable stay.

The staff were very friendly and they accommodated us on short notice. The rooms were a good size and the layout was convenient with a microwave being made available to guests.

I arrived late on a Saturday night and they accommodated me with the late check-in and I REALLY felt like a beer after travelling and I was gifted a Quart (Heineken Stout I think) - better than a chocolate on my pillow :)
