Location was overlooking Lake Biwa

You are in Japan so a Japanese hotel with only Japanese options in the restaurant is to be expected. Food was good and interesting, room was comfortable but if booking lake view make sure it is frontal not side view. Plenty of parking within the grounds.. Everyone in Hotel and at Castle were so helpful that we enjoyed our stay.

Challenging for our British tastes. I mean quite different to our usual cereal, yoghurt, egg on toast and croissant! But enjoyable nevertheless.

We ever stayed in this chained family onsen hotel in Nachikatsuura Wakayama last year, so eveything is as expected. I think the selling point of this hotel is their onsen bath on the top floor, seeing Biwa lake in the moring while having a warm bath in the winter is value for money. Especially no one else in the bath by 7am. The half board food are nice and decent. Coffee is just so so. We had a good sleep and rest before heading back to Osaka. Thank you!

Excellent location with lake view in almost very rooms. It’s very clean, the optional Japanese style breakfast and dinner was excellent. The hotel also has a level dedicated to hot springs baths with opens in the morning and after dinner until midnight. They even have a “secret kitchen” provide free noodles between 9-10pm. Overall a fantastic stay of us.

The staff was helpful and I felt it was good value for money.

Room was wonderful. Ground floor, double aspect view of Lake Biwa. Bird watchers would probably never leave the room at this time of year.

The foods and staff service are exceptional. The surprise Dan Dan noodle night snacks are really tasty as well.

Friendly English speaking staff helping you book a taxi to Kawachi no Kaza'ana Cave (河內風穴) and return as shown on their website. Thoughtfully recommended the duration of stay, and availability of the restaurant (which happened to have taken an irregular day off) at the entrance of the trail to the Cave.
