Very calm and nice place. Nice garden to chill in.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our last days in Sri Lanka, in the shade of trees, in a quiet part of town. Irosh and his family are great hosts, open-hearted, hospitable and kind. We wish them all the best and highly recommend the place! Irosh has an overview and is able to recommend beautiful and meaningful places in the area, at the same time he is involved in more luxurious hotels, where he will recommend yoga lessons, cocoa ceremonies, etc.... everyone will find what is right for them here;)

The accommodation met all our expectations. Clean, nicely decorated, possibility to use the kitchen and fridge. Breakfast divine. Highly recommended!

Fantastic breakfast freshly prepared every morning. Irosh was so helpful gave us lots of information. He took us to the beach the evening we arrived to show us the sunset as he knew it would be a great one (it was the best during our stay). He brought us food our first evening, arranged our car for our onward travel, helped us to source medicines, he walked with us to show us the best place to watch the sunrise, gave us tea , coffee and free water, he and his family are so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Irosh for a wonderful stay!

“EXCELLENT STAY”

Everything was great on this place. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. Irosh was a great host and truly happy meeting him.

Wonderful quiet village location but only minutes away from the beach and restaurants etc. Irish the owner went above & beyond to look after us. Delicious plentiful breakfast. So good we have booked a second stay.

The villa is gorgeous! It is located in a very quiet cool area, close to the lagoon - we recommend a morning boat trip to the Buddhist temple with a meditation and a beautiful sunrise on the way. The quieter part of Hikkaduwa Beach is a short walk away. The host and his family are wonderful, very hospitable but leave the guests room for privacy and do not impose themselves. The room and bathroom are spacious, the breakfasts are delicious. An ideal place to relax.

Everything. It is in it’s own quiet and peaceful location. Not far from a fishing village. The hosts Irosh and his Mum are the most incredibly kind people. I originally only planned to stay for 2 days but ended up extending for the best part of a week because of how nice it was. They gave me some aloe Vera for my sunburn from their garden, and were just such kind hearted people. That I feel I’m not doing them justice by giving them a 10. It was truly an incredible unforgettable experience

“Amazing place to stay”

Accommodation is very beautiful and in quiet area. Rooms are clean, and spacious. There is warm water and comfortable bed. Host is very nice and helpful. Breakfast very tasty, a lot of fruits. 2 minutes from the lake where you can rent a kayak and watch the sunset from the water or spot monkeys.

The best place we stayed during our trip, breakfast was delicious, fruits were exeptional and what a tasty coffee! Green and quiet area, great host, the best place to rest! Room was specious with everything we needed, the outside area where you can rest and hear the animals! Highly recommended!

Nice place surrounded by nature. Secluded enough not to hear traffic. Nice family and great breakfast.

Beautiful tranquil setting ! Our best nights rest on this entire trip. 5min from the beach and main road to Galle and Hikkaduwa. Irosh and Mama were the perfect hosts. Not only did we enjoy fruit from their garden, but they also introduced us to their local cuisine on the south coast. Property is well kept, verandah downstairs where we enjoyed breakfast and large balcony upstairs to relax in the evening. The room was large, comfortable, and well appointed. Large bathroom with nice shower. Super comfortable King Double, air-conditioning, and ceiling fan. Thank you Irosh, we'll be back !

“Highly recommend - A home away from home!”

We couldn’t recommend Villa wanderlust any higher!! Irosh and his family were some of the nicest people we have ever met. From the moment we arrived until even after we left because his mum made us fresh passionfruit juice for our drive to Colombo 🥲 The breakfast was delicious and huge! Even espresso machine coffee 🙌🏼 The location was a little out of the main part of hikkaduwa but we liked that because it was much less touristy (we had a tuk tuk to get around) Irosh was very helpful in giving us tips for things to do in the area and even came with us to the temple to explain in English for us!! We can’t wait to go back to Sri Lanka and will definitely stay here again when we do! 🫶🏼
