“Relaxing Stay”

Large spacious room with comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. Large toilet which was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was amazing. Selected the Sri Lankan option and the string hoppers were freshly made. The curries were also good. The pol sambol in particular was fabulous! The curd and treacle was a nice touch! Staff were accommodating and courteous, notably Kasun, the Manager was very welcoming and always spoke with a pleasant smile. The pool was also great and very refreshing.

The property was fantastic. Really clean and like your own taste of paradise. The rooms and whole place was extremely clean. Great location by the beach. Food was delicious. All the staff were extremely helpful and considerate. I would fully recommend this to anyone.

“Very relaxing and a beautiful view”

We like small boutique hotels because they usually give good service and the staff very friendly, Villa Saffron was both of these which made it a pleasure to stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food very good, we had the Cinnamon room with beautiful sea views which we’d try and book again when we return My husband had cause to see a doctor one night and a big shout out to Ambrose who dealt with it very professionally Thankyou to everyone for a very pleasant stay

“Perfect stay”

Villa is modern and beautiful. We stay just one day but we would like to stay longer next time. Room was spacious and very clean, bathroom nice too, food was excellent. It was the cleanest place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only one note is that there were a couple of ants in our room, but we didn't mind.

“Quiet location with huge rooms!”

We enjoyed the quiet location of the property towards the less touristy part of the beach. Huge rooms, really good breakfast and the tea time served with banana fritters is something I keep dreaming of. Service was good although it felt more like a home than a hotel so at time we found it slow to find staff to speak to. Overall we had a great stay, very relaxed place, kind and friendly people and really good value.

Beautiful boutique property situated beach front at Hikkaduwa. Staff are friendly and attentive. Relaxed atmosphere more like being at holiday villa than a hotel. Tastefully furnished by the owners.

“Quiet retreat right on the beach”

Such a quiet stylish villa right on the beach with wonderful staff. I’m not sure what it’s like in high season but this was a wonderful stop en route to Colombo. Close to the expressway and near enough to a few restaurants and bars. The breakfast outstanding. We loved the tea and cake in the afternoon. Our garden room was huge with great aircon and a lovely garden on both sides. Most of all we loved the staff. Sunil was so lovely right from our arrival. Everyone was super friendly. We would 100% stay again.

Everything! When you walk through that front door you are walking into a zen haven- absolutely divine. Every member of staff were extremely helpful for anything you need. They are there but not intrusive. The meals we ate onsite were delicious with enough choices for us. The pool is perfect, the rooms are large, the decor is gorgeous, and the price was perfect. We had friends staying in a large hotel further north, with buffet, multiple pools, and crowds - Villa saffron is a place to relax. We will definitely return.

Probably one of our best stay in 3 weeks of Sri Lanka. The hotel is perfect. Sunil and his team are very helpful and do every desire you could have. I wanted a special dessert and they even surprised me buying it especially for us. Food was exceptional..we ate several times there. The room we had was amazing. We loved every single moment. Thanks again to everyone. We would highly recommend the hotel and I would choose the same crew if I ever would open a hotel!

“A perfect end to a wonderful holiday in Srilanka”

It was simply and tastefully decorated. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble.
