We loved this hotel! Friendly and serviceminded staff, excellent food was cooked for us and there was a nice and familiar atmosphere at the hotel. Pool was clean and good. Rooms were also really good, comfortable beds, and clean bathroom with a good standard. The rooms were really big and clean, and in a very good condition. A nice balcony and in the room on the groundfloor there were a big terass. Both with seeview. We would definately come back, and we recommend it to everyone! Thank you for a good visit!

Lovely little property set on a quiet area of the beach. The staff were super attentive & lovely. Free breakfast and room upgrade was included. The shower in the room was powerful & hot, something we have struggled to find elsewhere in Sri Lanka. It was really nice having swimming pool to cool off in but also right on the beach. Incredible value for money!!

Very cozy and beautiful villa, both inside and outside. The location is slightly away from the main cluster of shops and restaurants, which was actually perfect for us — calm, quiet and relaxing. Restaurants are easy to reach by tuk-tuk (about 1.5 km, roughly €0.70 one way), so accessibility is a non-issue. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming — service mindset on point. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained, and a great bonus since during our three-day stay the ocean waves were too strong for swimming. Also worth mentioning: their curry was absolutely delicious. Would happily stay again.

“Nice place on the beach”
Very nice place with beautiful furnitures and cachet. It was very clean and next to the beach with a wonderful view over the ocean. This part of the beach is less touristic. The food was also good

“Good decoration, superb location and very nice hosts. Pool to swimm at every time you want”
An incredible place close to the ocean with perfect pool which is open for swimming for an 24 hour, what is amazing. Room was very clear, designed in really nice rustical style. Food is really good, also for the dinner, not only for breakfast. Also the location is really good, of you want for example watch turtles is a place just 30 minutes by walking by the beach. The hosts was really nice, every our request was possible, so i totally recommend Villa Kusum for everyone!

“Peaceful small hotel on beautiful beach”
An old style heritage house with its own beach access and a good pool - needed as sea is too rough to swim. Excellent service from attentive staff, good food and comfy sun beds. The beach facing rooms are spacious and quiet with good balconies.

Loved the traditional colonial decor. The pool was lovely and right on the beach front which was great. Very good shower and AC. But mostly, the staff were all so lovely and kind. Dinesh cooked us a 6 course meal for New Year’s Eve which was very good.

“Very pleasent stay in nice atmosphere”
This was very good stay! Villa is quite dated but it is clean and comfy. The owner of the place is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is temporary closed but he offered us a breakfast and delicious coffee in the morning. Swimming pool is big and clean.

Great location a bit outside Hikkaduwa at Narigama Beach. Wonderful beach side location with a nice pool as well. Compared to Hikkaduwa there are only a few people in this area and it is great to relax here. If you wanna go to Hikkaduwa, it is only a 25mins walk on the beach or a 5min ride by Tuk Tuk. The owner (father and son) are just great 😊 they always helpful and even enabled us an early check in and a later check out as well as having organized a taxi to the airport - great place to start or finish your holidays.

“Very nice stay at the best beach around the Hikkaduwa area”
Fantastic location right at a much nicer beach than in central Hikkaduwa. Very friendly and helpful guys working at the place. Rooms are cozy, comfortable with well working AC. Great with a swimming pool since the waves in the sea sometimes can be quite rough. Great breakfast!

“Very nice!”
Dinesh and his father are super hospitable and make sure you lack nothing and Dinesh's years of experience allow him to cook excellently. In addition, the house and rooms are really fantastic. In the spacious room you can hear the sea in the background and enjoy the sunset from your balcony in front of your room (overlooking the sea). Also the bed and bathroom meet the expectations. The pool is also excellent! And when you want to lie on the beach, Dinesh and his father put out umbrellas and beds on the beach. Highly recommended!

Amazing villa that looks as it was bulit during colonial times. It is converted to a small boutique hotel with a beautiful pool. Breakfast was great, and hosts were really noce and helpful. Amazing experience!❤️

The Pool is very nice and shady during the day, Breakfast was good, the beach is not crowded, transportation to the Airport was organised and worked out well, the bathroom was nice.
