Charming family run hotel with superb hospitality. The location is great, the breakfast on a boat is enchanting, and there is direct access for kayak tour on the lagoon/lake. Flora and fauna are both incredible. Highly recommend!

It was very quiet and calm. The view from the door was incredible with the lake so still. The staff were very helpful! Breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is located by the lake in a very quiet area. I enjoyed the breakfasts; they were generous and different every day (I stayed for six days). The Wi-Fi connection worked well, so I could work remotely from there. There is a lot to see in the area: I visited the tsunami museum (a very strong experience), a nearby turtle hatchery, Hikkaduwa Turtle Beach, and a few nice temples nearby.

“Quite and green family hotel to stay and relax”

The hotel is located in beautiful green area, nearby the lake and nature around. Room is spacious with a great view and balcony. It has A/C and private kitchen with fridge, basic utilities and kettle. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so it's worth to rent a bike or use tuk-tuk.

Scenic location next to a lake. They provide kayak tours too. It's a bit far from Hikkaduwa but it wasn't an issue for us as we had a vehicle. Rooms were very spacious , clean and well maintained . Staff are very polite and helpful in providing tea coffee and other request.

- lovely owner, always there if you have questions - super surrounding, calm lake, still not too far from the beach or Hikkaduwa (just 1€ for a Tuk Tuk) - very good and changing breakfast - comfortable bed and working AC (a little bit loud though)

We had an exceptional stay at this peaceful lakeside retreat. On arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and fresh juice. The location is stunning—quiet, tranquil, and right on the water. All rooms offer beautiful lake views and feature a wraparound balcony with outdoor seating, ideal for relaxing in the evenings. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is kept spotlessly clean. The staff clearly take pride in maintaining the property and were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the on-site activities like kayaking and safaris, which allowed us to explore the lake, mangroves, and nearby river. The boathouse and restaurant are lovely spots to unwind, and the Sri Lankan breakfasts were a highlight—each morning brought a new and delicious dish. Our room was spacious, bright, and well-equipped with strong air conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, and a handy kitchenette. Laundry service was available at a very reasonable price. Although the hotel is slightly off the main tourist path, there are restaurants within walking distance, and getting to Hikkaduwa is easy and inexpensive—just 400 LKR by tuk-tuk. We will return for a few more nights on our way back.
