What a delight of a hotel, just as the photos on booking.com show. The owner is an artist and has designed and painted all the pictures around the hotel. Lovely staff, great breakfast, 5 min walk from beach with turtles and black tipped sharks. Large bedrooms and very comfy beds. Would definately recommend

This place was such a wonderful experience in so many ways. The space is gorgeous, with so much attention to detail. The light, the scents, the mix of raw simplicity and warmth—it all felt amazing. Fresh flowers at breakfast were such a nice touch. The staff were fantastic; we felt really looked after, and Theekshana, the owner’s brother, was super helpful and totally easygoing with all our requests. We’ll remember this place for a long time, both for the spot itself and for the people. Truly thank you!

Saffron Robes Living is a lovely place to stay, but the staff are the real highlight. They were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our entire stay. Everything was clean, well organized, and very comfortable. We felt very well taken care of and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

this place is an exceptional combination of design and a hotel. every detail is thought through design-wise, but also so comfortable for “users”. the manager is a lovely person, told us about the his brother who is the artist and owner of the hotel. breakfast was also amazing. 10/10 stay, no notes

We loved the style of this hotel! All the pictures are from the owner, who is also the artist, which made the place even more special. Hikkaduwa is normally a very touristic hotspot, which we didn’t like that much. But this hotel was just a few corners away from the center, and we could really calm down and enjoy this magnificent, peaceful space. That was very much needed because we had arrived just the day before from Germany and drove through Negombo and Colombo with our rented TukTuk… such a crazy trip! The staff was very friendly and helped us with the TukTuk as well. We could even park right in front of the hotel. A wonderful stay – highly recommended.

Awesome place! We stayed here 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect and cared for by the staff. Place is run by two brothers one of whom is a painter featuring his painting in rooms, hallway and they have a beautiful gallery nearby! Honestly, a very special place ❤️

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, with all the basic facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made the experience even better.
