A beautiful tropical paradise awaits you, lovely pool and surrounding to relax. A huge beach with giant turtle right down the end. Lots of restaurants nearby, we walked and got a tuk tuk.

“Hidden Oasis in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰”

This has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at!! Peter and Glenda are the most amazing people we have met and the hospitality is second to none. The hotel staff were all amazing and catered to any of your needs, the breakfast was out of this world! Every morning would be a different menu option from Peter and his fabulous team and every day just got better and better. I would highly, highly recommend staying here if you are in Hikkaduwa or wanting to come to Sri Lanka. Thank you so much Peter and Glenda for an amazing stay and we will be back again for sure 😀

“A beautiful retreat with breakfast that are restaurant worthy”

A wonderful little retreat. Normally it’s fully booked but due the ‘well thought plan of The Donald to put the whole world in a new crisis’, there were a lot of cancellations. We ended up staying for four nights and it was wonderful. The breakfast really is as good as every other review is portraying, little work of arts! The pool is actually refreshing and clean. Can’t go wrong going here!

Glenda and Peter were very welcoming and hospitable. The room was very clean and had everything you could need . Breakfast was delicious and location was quiet but convenient.

“Perfect”

Wow, what a lovely place. As soon as you come through the gates you enter a beautiful, tranquil, calming space, the garden, pool and surrounding area is truely lovely. The house to is lovely, welcoming, beautifully furnished, open space down stairs. Our room and ensuite were immaculately clean, bright, spacious, welcoming, nicely furnished. The bed was really comfortable, air conditioning and fan were great. The fridge with fresh milk is a really nice touch. There was always plenty of hot water. The balcony is a really good size with comfortable seating. Peter our host was a true gentleman, welcoming, friendly, chatty. He really has a zeal and zest for life and that shows through his interest in his guests and his amazing, delicious breakfasts. Wow what a culinary delight they were. The house is a little way out of the main town, however it is walkable to the beach, restaurants and shops. And there is always a tuk tuk. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and hope to come back.

Peter and Glenda were incredible hosts. We were really well looked after, local attractions were recommended, booked and transport organised. The breakfast is amazing. All in all a fantastic location and a wonderful experience.

The breakfasts were fantastic and innovative with egg dish changing daily with a choice. Swimming pool well designed. Peter and Glenda very personable, friendly and informative.

WOW!!! It was so freaking beautiful! A large nice garden view from the balcony and a refreshing pool. The room itself was very clean and had everything you need like a hair dryer, hooks in the bathroom, a safe, a small table…. Location was perfect for us because it was so quiet. Notice that it is not directly at the main road and beach though. In the morning we had an exceptional breakfast and even earlier than usual because we had to leave. Thank you!! It is more expensive than other options but with everything we got there it was really worth it!! The owners make you feel very welcome!

Peter is an excellent host and he and his staff made us feel immediately welcome. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The two course breakfast with juice and a choice of coffee's was exceptional, you won't find better! Pool area is beautiful and chilled out.....I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plantation House.

“An Absolute Gem Not To Be Missed”

This property is an absolute little gem - located just inland from the hustle and bustle of Hikkaduwa but within easy walking distance to all of the restaurants, beach etc. A very relaxed atmosphere, beautifully maintained gardens and a very clean swimming pool. Rooms are spacious with all mod cons, ie fridge, kettle etc and the bed was extremely comfortable. Peter is famous for his breakfasts (choice between Sri Lankan and “western”) and they live up to the hype. We cannot recommend Plantation House highly enough - one of our favourite stays in our two month trip of Sri Lanka. We’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast was so good! The whole team are just great and make you feel right at home. Pool is great, they have a tonne of great recommendations. Lovely place!

“Our perfect stay”

We loved absolutely everything about this property! We felt so welcome and safe! Very bright spacious rooms, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was super delicious and different every day. Peter is a very very nice person, he was so kind to us. It is located in a quiet place perfect for relaxing but at the same time it is not far from the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. I loved how in every room there is a brochure with a list of restaurants, supermarkets and things to do. If you need a ride, there is a Tuk Tuk driver that they would call for you and he is also a very nice guy and not overpriced. If we come to Sri Lanka again, we would definitely stay here again ❤️ thank you so much for everything!

A wonderful hotel - located a bit outside of Hikkaduwa, but for us that was actually a plus. It was quiet, cozy, and peaceful, almost like spending summer at your grandmother’s countryside house. At the same time, a nice beach (with surfing available) and cafes are within walking distance, and you can easily reach other places by tuk-tuk if needed. We were allowed to check in a few hours earlier than scheduled, which was very much appreciated. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the host was incredibly welcoming. The room was comfortable, very clean, and had everything we needed. I would definitely come back.

This is a lovely place to stay, the balconies are very spacious and a lovely space to sit outside. The breakfast was second to none. The beach is a short walk away.
