The best accommodation choice we had made in our Sri Lanka journey.Perfect location,great facilities,cleanliness,short walk to the main road,quiet,direct exit to a big lagoon full of life,friendly neighborhood.We had an amazing early morning kayak experience and a full visit to most tourist objectives in the surroudings.All tasty and plentiful meals(breakfast and dinner) prepared in the house Everything was possible thanks to our host,Priyantha and his lovely family.We will always keep in our memories and souls the great time we had together,his kind and familiar approach towards us,helping us to make easy and comprehensive decisions.We noticed the respect shown to him by the locals,as a former mayor of Hikkaduwa.All the best wishes and many thanks for a wonderful time!

“Peaceful, comfortable lagoon-side accommodation”

Perfect peaceful location by the lagoon to recover from our long flight. Prya and his wife were great hosts and the food was all homemade. Prya was very informative and arranged for us to have a hire kayak to paddle on the lagoon and to the beach. We swam in the lagoon but note you need shoes as the shells on the bottom are very sharp. The villagers are all very friendly.

This place is perfect. First the location is amazing. At the shore of the lagoon, you can enjoy the silence. The apartment itself is modern an very clean. Both bedrooms have an AC, which is powerful enough to cool the room within minutes. Together with the firm mattresses a relaxing sleep is guaranteed. The bathrooms are much better than in most similarly priced apartments. The water from the shower drains itself and they are spacious. Additionally the wifi was the fastest we have seen in Sri Lanka. The host was very welcoming and super helpful. He even took the time to visit several nearby sights with us. He is very committed to make your stay enjoyable and helped us a lot (organising canoeing, tuktuk, get good quality tea). When we ordered a tailored saree, he made sure that it gets done in time. “The best stay in Sri Lanka”

SHORT VERSION: This place is perfect for short and long stay. Breakfast is delicious and local dinner options are also available. Host Pria is truly the best. Rooms are spacious and VERY clean. Place itself is very calm and welcoming. We have travelled in Asia for the past 6 months and this place is definitely one of top 5 places we have stayed in. LONG VERSION: This place is perfect for short and long stay and it will suit all traveller needs. Host Pria is offering 3 breakfast options - omelette with bread, local hopers and pancakes, all accompanied by tea and fresh juice. All of the breakfast options are delicious and local dinner options are also available which is truly tasty. Pria is actually the best. He will do everything he can to make you feel like at home - a truly kindhearted and loving person. If you need, he can help and arrange transport for you, tell you what is the best in the area, help you rent a kayak so you could enjoy the lake and the best thing is that he would go an extra mile and show you around town and places around completely free of charge just because he likes to do so. We had a situation when after we stayed in Villa Hikka Lagoon we went to explore rest of Sri Lanka, we found 2 stray kittens and couldn’t resist so we took them with us hopping to find a home for them. It was a hard task but after some time I contacted Pria and he agreed to take care of them and find a home for them. This act of him made us feel so happy and grateful to him. Rooms are spacious and VERY clean. We have travelled in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and noticed that hygiene is usually not the priority but Pria’s place is an exception. Place itself is very calm and welcoming. The best part of breakfast is that you can enjoy it any time (hosts will arrange it according to your preference) whether it is 6am with a sunrise or in the late morning. We have travelled in Asia for the past 6 months and this place is definitely one of the top 5 places we have stayed in.

“Serenity on the Lagoon”

We had a wonderful stay at Hikka Lagoon. The room is lovely and the view is peaceful and beautiful. Even though there were some mosquitoes in the evening, you had the same lovely view sitting inside and looking out through the large glass windows. Our hosts - the mayor of Hikkaduwa and his lovely wife Theekshana, made our stay even more special. We were taken sightseeing and had a tasty dinner made for us on one night.

“Amazing”

I was traveling a lot through Sri Lanka but this accommodation was my favorite:) This place has the most beautiful view and very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Furthermore the owner are very kind people!! I can only recommend:)

“Very calm and serene, exceptional views”

The property is situated on the lagoon, the view from the rooms are fantastic. You can sit on the balcony overlooking the lagoon, watching the beautiful wildlife, monitor lizards swim by and palm squirrels playing in the palm trees.

Everything. Ideal tranquil place to stay, I can't wait to go back. The property overlooks the lagoon with beautiful views and lots of nature to enjoy and admire. The hosts are very welcoming friendly people and looked after us well. They were helpful and lovely to talk to. The rooms are spacious and tidy with kitchen facilities available. Hikkaduwa beach is a 8 minute auto rickshaw ride away. 10/10.

The location was absolutely stunning! I couldn't have wished for a better place to start the new year. Having breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by beautiful and peaceful nature was one of my favourite things, it was a bit like being on safari, there is a lot of animals to see in and around the lake.

An amazing place with super friendly host. Clean rooms, bath ware and sanitary. The breakfast is tasty and owner wife makes it for us. We also relaxed and enjoyed well our day. I can recommend for the others coz everything is so satisfied.

“Absolute hidden gem 💎”

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Super friendly and helpful host. Mesmerising view of the lagoon. Nice and quite absolute beauty 😍 The entire place was well furnished with modern furniture and everything you need. Lighting fast SLT Fiber internet. 🔥 We traveled with our 17 month old baby, there was a fully equipped kitchen with stow, dining table, kitchenware and refrigerator, that was a bonus and pleasant surprise. Place was tidy and clean. There’s wardrobes to keep you stuff in. Nice comfy large bed which could accommodate all 3 of us. AC was running well no noises etc. Bath rooms very nice and clean well maintained. Had hot water. Location is probably 5 -6 minutes walk from Galle Road, less than a 2 minutes max in a vehicle. Very easy to find, just follow google maps or ask one the neighbours and they will guide you. Nearest beach was towards Hikkadua side. (Don’t know what it’s called). It was nice n clean with white sand. Water was shallow and the wave were gently due to natural coral reefs. Turtles come near the shore and swim near you, you can touch them and feed them seaweeds. Nice cozy and safe place to have sea bath.

“Lovely villa lagoon experience”

The location is great, quiet and serene on the banks of the lagoon. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and with air-conditioning. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast - hoppers and freshly prepared juices, teas, and coffees. We also enjoyed the tasty home cooked Sri Lankan dinners that we decided to try a number of times during our stay! The hosts are both lovely and accommodating. If you need anything during your stay just let them know and they'll help you out as much as they can.
